Pause Menu ~ Mario Strikers Charged Cover 

Yes, this is literally elevator music. Just ask Luigi's Mansion 2!
I played Mario Strikers Charged with my friend a few weeks ago, and despite him having never played the game, he wanted us to make out way to the Striker Cup on the hardest difficulty... For those who also have not played this game; hard means HARD. Having compared the CPUs to Tool-Assisted Speedruns, we continued to throw ourselves at them for hours, eventually winning some games. Understandably, I've had this title on my mind since.
The game has a TON of great music! From stage to character themes, there's always something good to listen to. I decided to cover the Pause Menu music specifically because my current semester of college is winding down and my next cover will be a very intense collaborative effort, with both of those things ultimately leaving me with little time. This is a simple piece, so I figured it wouldn't take very long.
The arrangement itself is, again, simple. I did little outside of spicing up the keyboard part here and there, and adding a little more to the drums that what's in the original. I dabbled in the idea of removing the very prominent telephone EQ present throughout this track, thus technically making the cover a mashup of both the Pause Menu and Credits theme (the latter simply being the former but without the elevator-like equalization), but I really like how the EQ made it sound, and figured I'd stick with it for that reason. It's also just kind of funny. I also attempted a short piano solo. I considered transcribing the solo from the original, but figured I'd put myself out there and see what I could do.
