I pray that one day before I die, that I get to travel to Cuba and enjoy and experience the every day living in Cuba. I would dance through the streets every day in Cuba and give money to all of my people over there. I may not have been born in Cuba.... I may not have been brought up in my Cuban culture, but I am Cuban all the way even though I'm 50%. However, I don't consider that I am 50%.... I consider myself a 100% because Cuba is in me and I am in Cuba. My mother brought me up learning how to dance salsa, and how to dance to all types of music. My mother used to tell me; Lisa put your hand on the stereo speaker and feel the vibration and let your body move this is how you dance by letting the vibration go within your body they gonna make you move like no other. My mother and my grandmother used to speak Spanish to me all the time but I was hardheaded and that's why I didn't learn. Now that I'm older and in my 50's; I can honestly say that I respect my Cuban culture and I love my culture and I know that we still have family over there in Cuba and even if we didn't have family still in Cuba, I would still honor the fact that I am Cuban. My grandmother when she was younger, use to live a short time in Key West Florida and she was a Cuban singer, dancer, and musician and she used to play the cello. I love Cuba.
