PAV BHAJI RECIPE ❤️
Ingredients:
- Cauliflower: 1 pc
- Potatoes: 5 pc
- Beetroot: 1/2 pc
- Carrots: 2 pc
- Peas: 1/2 cup
- Oil: 1 tbsp
- Mustard Oil: 1 tbsp
- Cumin: 1 tsp
- Onions: 1 cup
- Butter: 1/4 cup in total
- Ginger: 2 tbsp
- Garlic: 4 tbsp
- Green Chilli: 3-4 pc
- Tomatoes: 4 pc or 1.5 cup
- Salt to taste
- Capsicum: 1 pc
- Red Bell Pepper/Red Chilli (Optional): 1 pc
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder: 1 tbsp
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder: 1 tbsp
- Pav Bhaji Masala: 2-3 tbsp
- Lemon Juice
- Pav
- Handful Coriander Leaves
Recipe:
1. Soak the cauliflower in hot water with some turmeric powder and salt. Then, drain the water and boil them in fresh hot water.
2. Boil the potatoes and beetroot with some salt. Also boil the carrots and peas together with some salt.
3. Take a tawa or kadai, add oil, mustard oil, cumin, chopped onions and butter. Cook till they turn translucent.
4. Add ginger, garlic and green chilli. Saute and then add chopped tomatoes with some salt. Cook it well.
5. Add chopped capsicum and red bell pepper/red chilli (optional). Saute.
6. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder and pav bhaji masala. I have used a homemade one. Add water and cook the masalas well.
7. Then add the boiled vegetables and mash everything together. Add hot water, add salt and pav bhaji masala to adjust the flavours (if required) and mix everything well. Let it cook and keep mashing.
8. Make some space in the centre and add butter, onions, ginger, garlic, green chilli, salt, kashmiri chilli powder and pav bhaji masala. Saute and start mixing it with the bhaji.
9. Finally, add some lemon juice and toast the pav in some butter and pav bhaji masala (optional) to enhance the taste.
10. Serve with some chopped onions, lemon and top with coriander leaves. Enjoy!
