Bravo! La Scala certainly do things to the highest standard. The costumes alone are a thing to behold, and Pavarotti in 1978 was, to my mind, at his very best. Just magnificent! Thank you, greatartists for posting this.
Both Pavarotti and Verdi at the Top of their Game. And that chorus at 7:08 is rivalled only by the end of Tannhauser for great opera finales. BRAVI !!! 708

Che cuosa vuoi dire quando si fa riferimento a la Millo? La sua voce è peggiore che quella della Zampieri e questa, invece, como cantante e la sua interpretazione sono superiore! Lei era una delle migliori cantanti del tardo secolo XX e non sempre riconosciuta come tale. La voce della Zampieri era enorme, sempre con grande abilità drammatica e interpretativa, con grande attenzione ai recitativi e alla parola, sempre in grado di tenere il pubblico che non è mai stato deluso.
