Not bent, folded. Like someone folded to put in their pocket, like most people do, then it sat in a book for a long. He didn't come anywhere near folding. This is why I'm coming to hate watching these clips. If it's not arm chair appraisers (who have exactly zero clues about what they're talking about), it's the even bigger idiots that think they're committing fraud on national TV.
Collectors pay 20k when it’s in full condition 1,500 would sell fast but it can be worth around 6k if it will be on the market for 5months and that’s too long for rick
Yeah.. How ridiculous can these reality shows be. Top of the line turns to 1500 in a second. Well I don't really feel sorry for the idiots who sell to these scammers because they got to be idiots..
amrit hehar I’ve dealt in currency for a while (mostly US coin currency and can say this is true). Each grade for a coin matters just like a bill. In coins the scale goes from 1-70. Take a Morgan dollar as an example. Some Morgan’s from AU (almost uncirculated, grades 50-58) to MS(Mint State, grades 60-70) can range 10 to 20,000 dollars in price. Some jumps just from one grade like MS 64 to 65 can be double. This is how the currency market works. It’s all on population and desire that makes the bill or coin worth the most $$$.
Customer : I want $ 1500 Rick: I have to make a living, I will offer you one left sock and a hand job from Corey Customer: great Rick: okay great, let's go around back and do some paper work
$1100 was a fair price. You want more, sell it on eBay and deal with those fees and hassles. If there is a problem, eBay will almost always side with the buyer.
Rick meets woman Woman: wanna come back to my hotel Rick: erm.. I dont know anything about this.. let me just call my buddy get him down to have a look
@@downfall963 not to mention....out of the hundreds of trillions of planets out there, ours is literally the only one that's flat? Sure, Jan. Adjust your foil hat 🤣
Rick: "I need to make a living". DUDE you got a TV show, you own a pawn shop and low ball everybody that walks through the door. You are doing just fine man.
DUDE, it's *PAWN SHOP* you want too dollar find a buyer yourself, you want quick cash you take it to a pawn shop. That's how business works. No one thinks of the back end costs, like rent, or insurance.
@@glennhefel i doubt it, this is likely all going to the history, well 65% does, the rest goes to RU-vid. OTOH, RU-vid *has* started putting ads on non monetized channels, which means they could be getting nothing
Oh yeah, they're definitely risking jail time and their careers by committing fraud on national tv. Even though they've already negotiated the price with the show's staff before they ever walked in the door.
The owner should've official graded it first, which puts it inside a sealed container, not walk into a shop saying I wanna sell. Could've easily got 10k for it.
Rick will have this graded and made a small fortune on it I love when rick reminded the seller that he found the bill and it cost him nothing. So since it cost the seller nothing the seller should sell it to rick cheap!!!! Ricks always negotiating!!!!
I think rick already told peter that bryan asked for 1500$ and asked peter to tell it's retail price 1500$ and how could peter tell the same exact amount as bryan asked for??
They look like people making a honest living, if I had anything to sell like that I would do business with them. The day we live in it's hard to find this. My hats off to you.
Customer: *turns around* Rick: *quickly folds the dollar* Grader: it has a fold that’s not good Rick: I’ll give you a hug Customer: ok that will be good Cory: ok come with me let’s do some paperwork
The pawn shop guy told his friend the man wanted 1500 so the man claimed it was only worth 1500 retail making sure they would buy it for less than 1500 but it was probably worth 10000
Hillbilly Trump not really. That dollar can easily be sold for 10k-20k but he bought it for 1100 because his “expert” said that little bend drops the price from 20k to 1.5k Such BS
Expert: there is a center fold in the middle of the bill. Rick buys it and then the expert comes back to say: Hey, I lied that there was a crease in it. You will definitely get $20k for it.
You have to love a good crook when you see them in action. And rick is one of the best! No way does a crease lower the value 18,000 or so.rick probably sold that fo 10,000!
Rick on phone with expert: tell him it's only worth 1500 Expert: could be worth 20 grand but since you already told rick you want 1500 this, this and that is wrong with it so its only worth 1500...😆
If you do some research online you'll find that this guy just completely got ripped off. A bill having a slight fold does not put it out of the "uncirculated" tier. It's in the top tier range and is worth way more than $1500.
Rick: I have a friend. Meaning: I keep people locked up in a closet and only let them out when I need them! But if they don't give a low price, THEN they get used for target practice!
Why does History channel deal with Pawn Stars?? I would not watch a show that is scamming people. That bill is easily worth 5-10k thousand. Even if it has a slight crease, it is very rare and probably only few left. This guy got taken for his bill.
Really one little barely seen crease make it from potential 20k to 1500. What a load he might get 10k for it such a rip off im starting not to like this show
Gucci Be Trucking obviously you’ve never collected anything in your life. A collector would want any item in pristine condition. Every flaw decreases the value. So the crease was significant enough to drop the value that much.
Used to buy old figurines for resale those small flaws can make something go for a fraction of mint. A pin Mark a slight Nick on the base it drops retail value ten fold or more. Just how the business runs.
Appraiser: This magnificent piece is worth about $250,000. Take care. 🚪 🚶 Rick: ...I’ll tell ya what I’ll give ya 20 grand an I ain’t going a penny more, I gotta make a livin’ here
