MrSoundSeeker And he understands that the pawn shop needs to resell at profit. Most of their customers seem to expect Rick to pay them the max value and then resell at a loss? If they want max price they should solicit the end buyers. Otherwise only go to pawn shop for fast cash at approx half the value.

During a trip to Europe in 1956 with her children Barbara and Kenneth, Ruth Handler came across a German toy doll called Bild Lilli. The adult-figured doll was exactly what Handler had in mind, so she purchased three of them. She gave one to her daughter and took the others back to Mattel. The Lilli doll was based on a popular character appearing in a comic strip drawn by Reinhard Beuthin for the newspaper Bild. Lilli was a blonde bombshell, a working girl who knew what she wanted and was not above using men to get it. The Lilli doll was first sold in Germany in 1955, and although it was initially sold to adults, it became popular with children who enjoyed dressing her up in outfits that were available separately.

Depends on the item and person if it's a good idea or not. Some items can only be sold at auction where you have no idea what you will get, it takes forever, and it costs a large fee. Some items are just hard to sell and need a special buyer. Other things have a commodity price, wholesale vs. retail. Then there's idiots selling stuff for half price too.

I remember watching the show as a kid when it first came out. There were never experts called in back then; I mean it did happen, but at least it was very rare. I started to watch clips like this online and I've noticed he almost always calls an expert in now.
