100k is a lot of money for any racing suit, even for a top driver like Earnhardt - part of the problem is that there are a LOT of racing suits - he won 76 races (and retired a suit after he won) - plus numerous other suits.
@jamesrawlins735
@jamesrawlins735 5 лет назад
@joey b 77 of an item when your dealing with collectibles is a large number as far as value. If there were only 1 or 2 or 3 suits you might get near that amount. There just aren't enough collectors willing to spend 100k on a racing suit, even one from Sr. There are actually more than 77 suits, that's just the ones that were retired after a win. I'm guessing you might have double that or more if you included every suit he owned. Now, if it was his very first suit signed by him, or one he used when he won Daytona, the value would go up considerably. (The same thing applies in Europe for the top Formula One & Grand Prix drivers - Michael Schumacher is idolized as much or more there - none of their suits brings 100k at auction). I will admit, as an aside, that I never grew up idolizing Dale Sr. I was a huge The King fan; I grew to admire Sr. after he passed away. Same thing with Jimmie Johnson, because I was a big Jeff Gordon fan - and now I'm sad I didnt appreciate Jimmie when he was the best

@@juliusgold1 ah well ill make sure to never go to a single pawn shop in existence since they all call in experts to appraise stuff... in fact lets just let all these pawn shops close down because all of them are purposefully low balling us with their "experts" that they have down their pockets. see where your slippery slope is going? have you actually been to their shop? they actually run a buisness this isn't just a show, not only that what proof do you have that 20k is a lowball? are you a expert in this type of field? if so show the proof that you are if not can you even talk?. this autograph appraiser probably knows more about this subject then you. so what is it? do we get rid of every pawn shop in existence since they call "experts" in to appraise?

@@jasonmichael3676 Their are multimillionaires and billionaires who won't mind paying the 100K price. Could probably get it auctioned in Dubai and get 500K or million out of it. Some rich people who loves racing and don't mind throwing money around.

Bring it to the Barrett-Jackson or the Mecum Auction you'll have to pay a fee but you might get what you're looking for

20k is insanely low I sold a psa graded earnhardt card from 1996 for 7k last year, a card not signed or anything is not a worn winning suit. Ridiculous.

I wonder how much they pay these "experts" to come in and lowball everything they appraise. It's never EVER anywhere the seller's asking price. It's always around 20-40%.

With being a signature expert, they keep up on what stuff is selling for with certain signatures, that being said, an actual suit from the GOAT of nascar and a legit signature, is way more then 20k
