I consider myself a collector and if it were me...I wouldn't care. I'd buy it. Plus I don't see any remains of a removed signature (keep in mind I am no expert). I actually did buy Adam's autograph off his website and you don't have to get it personalized. In fact I had him write out on mine "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb" (LOL Classic). Granted that was a photo. Not a prop/piece.

Reginald Cooperting Ahh, love comments like this. It was clearly a joke making fun of what the guy said, but you weren't quite bright enough to realize that. Also, the signature could have been printed on the phone out of the factory or be sticker of some kind. So ya, you want to make sure its actual ink that made it.

Assume every comment is a sarcastic joke, but keep it subtle. you can look a bit daft if you missed the joke and your reply is over sarcastic.but in answer to your question he could have signed it with a quill or pencil or even a crayon! i don't think Bruce Wayne had bat mind powers. also do we know if B Schuler is a real detective?

The autograph guy looked like he didn't like the seller. He didn't even shake his hand when he left. Usually the experts would say goodbye to the seller. I think he didn't like the owner of the phone that's why he was way too critical in his assessment. It was obviously a smudge. If there was a name above Adam West's signature, there would be a bunch of scratch marks due to the ink being rubbed out.

One thing nobody noticed... If you look at the wire coming out the back it's flat and looks to have a modular plug (RJ11) on the end. No way would that be the original as the RJ11 plug was not invented back then. Could have been retro fitted but that would degrade the value if it were the original.

It obviously wasn't an actual prop from the Batman series. The original Batphone was see through with a light inside that blinked. It also had a button in the middle that Commissioner Gordon pushed to call Batman. This phone had no such button. Also, this phone is a much much later model. Probably from the 90's or even later.

The guys is not a bad negotiator. He made a great point. Rick would have to wait for the actors to be in Town or go out of his way and find them anddddd they are getting older. However he had 3 conditions going against him. 1. Who knows if that's the actual phone. 2. The actors only charge $50 for a signature. 3. The low appraisal from that "expert" that rick really seems to trust

I recall the 'Bat Phone' having a button in the middle, to PUSH when calling-out. Also the Red "Bat Phone" lit-up when it rang. That phone doesn't look like it does that! The autographs may be authentic, but I doubt that phone is an actual prop from the TV Show.

I read that the phones on the Show were not "working phones" but were "thin shelled vacuum formed plastic shells" made with a more translucent plastic allowing for a distinctive "glow" when "called"
