These are old-fashioned cakes, which can last a long time. They used to be mandatory
prepared for weddings and New Year and Christmas holidays. Paws are made with
fat, because it gives them that familiar feeling of "melting" in their mouths. Of course
they can also be made with margarine or butter. They are baked with a special tin
models of various shapes, which are sold in tinsmith shops or on
markets.
Ingredients:
250 g of margarine
150 g of sugar
1 egg
150 g of ground walnuts
300 g flour type 400
1 bag of cinnamon
1 tablespoon rum
5 g of baking soda
powdered sugar for sprinkling
vanilla sugar
Preparation:
Whisk in the fat, sugar and eggs. Now add the flour and nuts, and work well
dough. Grease the molds and sprinkle with flour, then fill them with dough, no
all the way to the top, because the paws will grow during baking. It should be well imprinted
dough, to make the casting as good as possible. Arrange the paws on a baking sheet and bake at 180
degrees for about 20 minutes. Remove the baked paws from the mold, roll in
powdered sugar, scented with vanilla.
