Paws of War was recently highlighted by NBC News Now for its War Torn Pups and Cats program that reunites soldiers and active members of the US military with the dogs and cats they rescued while serving overseas.
Paws of War recently reunited US Army Soldier David Arroyo with Toby, a dog he rescued while serving in Eastern Europe. Arroyo found Toby abandoned on the street in the cold and the two made an immediate connection. A few weeks ago, Toby and Arroyo were reunited, thanks to the help of Paws of War.
Paws of War has helped rescue 600 animals of US military members serving around the world. Paws of War's volunteer rescue team will fly these animals home and care for them until their soldier counterparts return home. These rescue missions are dangerous and cost thousands of dollars per animal. All costs are covered by Paws of War.
