20:00 The question asked and the response Taro gives makes my heart swell. It's a great analogy for the game and describes really well how I feel about Automata and the Drakengard series as a whole. They aren't perfect, but I'll remember them for far longer than other "perfect" games I've played. I love Yoko Taro, man. He reminds me of why I love video games.
Yeah, there's a lot of games that are perferct at first glance, but Yoko Taro's games have a lot of details that make them lovable. Like this dude in the middle of the dessert that's just like "Man, i wonder what kind of city there used to be here" or a couple of Yorha units fishing near a pond or how one of the desert robots has an animation where he's hugging himself or how one of the operators sends you mail about gossip...
For those who are wondering: - "No" is at 12:20 - "I just like girls" is from 15:54 to 17:30 (16:38 for the start of the english translation of his answer)
Well, It's official. NieR: Automata is one of the greatest games ever created. Everyone on the NieR team deserves all the acknowledgement and support they get, and then some.
Edward Elric if that is what you consider pulling it off, you are a bit off because many people think he is crazy (some in a good way, other... not so much). the key is not about social standard but to gather and live alongside people that can understand you.
I'm really shy in front of people too. It can't really be control. It's like you trying to stop what your doing but it just does it anyways. He needs to get buzz up cause that helps ALOT.
I just love Yoko Taro for his personality and the games he made. He is really nervous here if you look at his hands and fingers, you can see him shaking and being really stiff aswell, at the same time as he is making jokes :'(
Agreed with Tal. Nomura cannot direct anything worthwhile that isn't Kingdom Hearts. Advent Children was nothing more than fan service in the worst way possible, and had Tabata not taken the helm for the project, FFXV would never have released. He should just stick to character design...once he tones down his fetish for belts.
Daniel Learmouth Yea it sucks that Tabata is getting so much hate because people dont understand the circumstances that XV was made under. Hopefully he gets to direct XVI and becomes the Hideaki Itsuno of Square.
I'm proud that my favorite series has such a great set of minds on the dev team. Everyone is so passionate and unique, you don't see such a combination of efforts produce something this otherworldly.
Yoko Taro is such terrific director, I really hope he and Platinum Games continue working together. NieR: Automata is my GOTY 2017, even one of the best this generation next to The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne. Everyone involved in this title deserve so much praise.
Notice how the audience is pretty much dead during FF XV's panel. Its like people were so disappointing, they don't expect anything great now from this game.
ImagineHatter: No, but I can't help but smile when I think about it... "Persona!" (Dragons, insane red-eyed soldiers, and giant white abominations spill out of a giant Emil head, and Earth instantly experiences a major extinction event)
No but I'm sad I haven't. The idea of him taking off the mask as a giant anime monster appears and him then curling up because he realizes all eyes are now on the real life super hero is too good.
SPOILERS!!! (I actually go the extra mile to announce it) you forgot that the whole purpose of YoRHa was that it's soldiers would die in the end and that the blackboxes were made of machine cores thus making Androids and machines basically identical. ...and 9S goes mental
@@roastpolice1139 I've never played dark souls but nier automata is fun, cool, sad, beautiful, and a master piece. I dont think I've seen most games come close to it.
Taro hates being in front of a crowd, probably even more so that Automata is his first widely known game. One time he flat out walked out before it started cause he didn't want to do it. In his place he left a doll of the character whos mask he wears.
The applause sounds like clams and people chewing overchewed food with their mouths open, stamping the rain a little bit with their bare feet. I cannot unhear it... I loved this video. ^_^
some information said yoko actually very hysterical.. actually one time he come to the office, and see something different from planning yoko become furious and hysterical he pointing out with her ballpoint... so the staff at platinum games kneeling down at the floor.. asking forgiveness?
I started watching this video because I thought it's just a Taro video. know I here the FFXV talk and it's much, much more dull. that shows how precious Yolo Taro is!
monkeyswag57 The combat is also shallow, characters never develop, art direction is all over the place, it has cut content/forgotten plot points, a bland open-world with two cites, boring boss fights, hit sponge enemies, Luna, repetitive fetch quests and a crappy ending. Not to mention it was formerly Versus a masterful looking game. I say masterful because everything Nomura said or showed about VersusXIII/XV looked like it had the potential to be a masterpiece. Tabby's XV is garbage and dlc isn't gonna change that.
1:36 Ahahahahaawww noooo~. The self roasting, lol... So I'm at 12:45 and WOW. This whole thing is such a TREAT~. 13:00 Wait what happened to the translator? Was he briefed about some of the questions before coming on? 18:23 Actual gold. No... Platinum.
