I'm a software employee, due to covid I'm doing work from home and I'm staying in my father house. Can i pay rent to my father legally and how much maximum rent I can pay to my father. We are staying in a village

Do a video on " saving tax for only income on rents".

I dont follow : If in the base case the expenses are 31 lakh, which includes paying a manager 6 lakh to manage the store, then in the new scenario, you dont pay manager 6 lakh but instead pay your father 6 lakh, then the total expenses will be the same : (31 lakh less 6 lakh saved by not paying a manager, plus 6 lakh paid to father) = equals same 31 lakh. not 37 lakh as you have used in your example. Or if you are saying there is no current manager of the store - then how is it running by itself when you also have a gym to manage? I dont understand the example.

All such laws, rules regulations are all for us common people, for political parties, politicians etc they can purchase 500 Rs items for 5 lakhs plus at 0 tax.

I have 2 doubts here, 1 - can I assign my father a dummy position in the business wherein his names is officially there as an employee but dosent really do much work, 2 - how do the authorities decide how much salery is to be given to the employees? Isn't it the right of the business owner to pay them as much as he wants? Is there an upper limit ?

If you give 12.5 lakhs to your father instead of 6 lakhs then you can save more tax since, that after decutions will be 10 lakh. Old tax scheme total tax on the 12.5 lakh will be 112500. Instead if you keep that 12.5 laks then you're paying roughly 3.6 lakhs in tax so another tax saving of 2.5 lakhs
