Yeah, if they keep making positive changes over the next few months, and maybe launch a big event to get people to jump back on when the game is in a good state, maybe then I'll get back into it.

People don’t necesssrily realize how much replayability achievements added to the game, I’d often replay heists so I could go for these one off wacky challenges, it’s such a simple thing that would make a huge difference

Me and my friend purley hopped on to see how many achievements we could get in one day from doing special things on missions we’d already have played hundreds of times. Good times.

i just want to make another spreadsheet for kknowley for another achievement run route... cant do that with only 22 achievements :(

They haven't added any achievements to consoles since launch. It's ridiculous. There's 22 achievements. Payday 2 had 120. I just want fun achievements :(

I remember being amazed by the fact that they added achivements with most content updates, the other games I play rarely add new achivements.

they really should have had more heists similar to 'No Rest for the Wicked' and "Dirty Ice", with better replay factors ala PD2

Yeah I could sit down and do bank heist over and over again in pd2. That map is peak and I need it in pd3.

We haven't had a single assassination "heist" yet. They do their revenge by stealing. Because they're heisters. There's plenty to criticise with this game, you don't need to make things up. There's the SCB for a small bank, Gold and Sharke for the big bank. No casino yet, but warehouses, mansions and now even wallstreet are perfectly good targets for theft too.

The idea of heisting has changed since Payday 2, at that point we're only Heisters by name - we were much closer to being mercenaries instead (stealing, securing cargo, rigging elections, high-profile assassinations, all the bells and whistles)

Fr I just want to do a small and quick heist not some 15 minute high security night club heist

They also wrote themselves into a corner by not resetting the story. The story can't go back to be about robbing banks after we fought demons and shit. Should have just kept the characters but make a new story

Small correction, but the servers were functional during early access. They only exploded after the game came out. Unless they somehow worked for me and not for you? Wouldn't surprise me tbh

You think it will last that long ??? Very optimistic considering current player numbers. Plus devs reputation is in the bottom of a toilet. In PD community no one trust a word they are saying, 2 many lies , endless scams and constant bs got them to this point.

Yeah, the heist payout disparity is really demoralising. Doing Rock The Cradle loud feels like a slap in the face every time I see the payout screen. Why did they name it Rock The Cradle and give it a full John Wick aesthetic just to make stealth borderline mandatory?

pd2 is considered peak payday in the community, and most people dont like that game either, so i agree with this, its not for everyone nor can it be. Its just not a game everyone can get in on and thats fine, so let us have what we want.

It’s not in the shareholders’ of Starbreeze’s best interests to try to cater to a more niche audience, they’d rather it be accessible to as many people as possible. Obviously that’s a flawed mindset, since making jt more widely appealing actually just makes the true target audience like it less.

No joke under 800steam players on Saturday night in a brand new game is ruff , when I seen that number any desire to buy this game went out the window forever😢.

I'm not here to defend Payday 3, but Payday 2 had 10 years to be as good as it is today

Doesn't matter, this game put you in random lobby anywhere in the world, i was on US, Japan, and even Brazil server (also im UE)

SB burned any good will from the community long time ago, where have you been ??? What you see in front of you is a final result, ppl from my PD2 Group would not spend 2$ on a dlc at this point and buying PD3 is an open joke in chat.

From what i heard (take this with a grain of salt). Due to PAYDAY 3 is also on consoles, it's a bit harder to update the game on those platform. Microsoft and Sony wont allow rapid files hotfixes and update like on Steam.

I think there's another option you're ignoring, and it's the one I really hope happens. Starbreeze gets bought out by a company that fixes their games and makes them actually worth buying. A dead game can be revived with proper marketing, Cyberpunk proves this, and Payday absolutely has the foundation for an Edgerunners style revival

@@filmandfirearms oh, yeah. I just don't know who could do it. The only corporations that could do this purchase I know don't have great reputation. However, if what you said would happen, then this would be either alternative good or neutral ending.

@@filmandfirearms cyberpunk was far from dead though it was just broken and missing features, it had nearly millions of people wanting it to be good. payday doesnt have a fanbase the size of cyberpunks nor does it seem to have the equal rallying support that cyberpunk had.

1st is NCR, 2nd is legion, 3rd is house, 4th is yes man

And the best ending is the make a game with all 3 games remade with the payday 3 mechanics making the two previous games more playable and fun and more accessible

@@jinmark9453 well I do have fun with the mod tbh, Crime Boss Rockay City is the only other modern heisting game which I play , it's not like there are many options when it comes to this nieche of FPS

Game literally averages 2.5-3k now. But alright.

@@KookyC its almost like the newest dlc and content JUST came out and the game always saw a spike in players after a dlc drop, and just like all the other times the playercount is already dropping (and will continue to drop). Its already below 2k again.

yeah, idk if you've been there during payday 2's first couple of years, but that was a mess of it's own...

Suddenly people will move on payday 3 after skill rework, preplanning rework and armor 2.0, so yes, it's inferior compared to payday 2, for now.

Fellow 2k hours guy here; I think you're missing the point of what people mean by RNG variation. It's true that objectives have always been pretty consistent, but objective locations change a lot more than you're implying. Eg. Harvest & Trustee has two vault locations, they aren't even that far from each other, but it determines if you will be mostly fighting near the lobby or near the offices as well as which side of the parking lot you will have quick access to, and obviously makes hauling a lot different depending on where the van shows up. Both locations can change the map feel of the heist a surprising amount, despite being like 5m away, it changes what sightlines and locations you have the quickest access to. That's a very minor example, there are much more important ones, like which PC you're using in Framing Frame Day 3 Loud, where the basement entrance is in HM Day 1, most of Hoxton Breakout, which hangar you use in Firestarter, Big Bank's four vault locations, Birth of Sky's pallet placements, Beneath The Mountain in general, so on and so forth. Meanwhile, PD3 *has very little variation in location defense objectives.* When objective locations do vary significantly, like 99 Boxes' tech box locations, you usually don't have to defend it. NRFTW, Boys in Blue & Sharke have the same vault locations & breach locations every time. _(B&B does at least randomise the optional extra data objectives, as well as the generator location, though it's pretty easy to defend the generator from sabo squads from a distance)_ Road Rage has two routes through the road, but I believe you can always control which one you use depending on if you open the gate or not, Dirty Ice is pretty much always the same, Touch The Sky randomises the filing room, but thermite doesn't need defending. Surphaze, besides wifi signals, isn't really a defense based map, and if you're doing all loot you will be visiting every gallery anyway. Rock The Cradle is also not really defense focused either, and doesn't change the accountant's office/vault locations so in loud it's always the same. Houston Breakout randomises the mandatory evidence, but if you're doing all loot you will always do both rooms, which are always in the same places. I checked Syntax Error and I'm pretty sure the auxillary cooling there never moves, either. Cook Off's lab, most of Fear & Greed, and Diamond District's scanner are the only times I can think of when Payday 3 actually has significant variation on a point on the map you defend in loud. _(99 Boxes also gets a pass because there are two different shipping yards you might be entering)_ That's the kind of thing people want more of- The plan in Fear & Greed is mostly the same each time, but where exactly you do things changes up the map each run, much like how Boiling Point's body scanner/server room variation isn't the biggest deal but does keep the heist feeling fresh.

this game didnt have a really bad start, it HAS a really bad everything.

Who will pay hundreds of thousands $$$ for future development if you have 800 active players, negative reputation and 0 hype genius???? 🤔 if you can't see the writing on the wall basic math is not your friend.

@@silver333z Most heist are just going to one area and waiting then get loot then leave. Insanely boring. Good payday 2 heist felt like a experience. You were moving having to do multiple objectives. "Oh cool a heist at a police station. Oh you spend 90% of loud at the back outside? Its gold? Not anything related to police? Awesome :("
