Hey everyone, welcome to my channel, I'm Mey :)
In today’s video we are talking about Payhip, and their recent launch of a marketplace for selling digital download items.
Many of you might know Payhip as a FREE shop builder for selling digital download items, many of you also knew that they are planning on opening a marketplace... But, I do know that one question everyone had was- how will this compare to Etsy?
Is this going to be the new Etsy alternative for digital download businesses?

Clarification- This video is my take only, and on the Marketplace of Payhip. Not on Payhip the shop builder - which i have been using for years and is an amazing option to get started for free! Would love to hear your opinions in the comments, and thanks for watching :)

Hi Mey, thank you for the video and the very useful feedback. We just wanted to make it clear that the marketplace has been publicly available for a month now, so it's very new, and it's essentially version 1 - a beta to get as much feedback as we can. So there are a lot of issues, and some you have mentioned, which we are working on - especially search speed. Please don't be upset, we will fix all these issues. We just need more time. 🙏 Once we are happy and it's fully ready, we will do our best to let everyone know!

Thank you for these news Mey! Another confusing point: their "Terms and Conditions" are not updated for this Marketplace. And the Marketplace itself does not have "terms and conditions". Meaning: legally it doesn't even exist on their main website... So it just seems that Payhip's Marketplace is in some kind of "trial mode" on their end?? Waiting to decide for a global/official launch??

@@Rose-pi9hr the marketplace displays items as they are in the individual shops, so some would have a lot of description, some none, based on what the sellers chose to do in their own stores.

The reviews are not from people who bought from the marketplace, they are the reviews left on the items themselves from the individual shops. The thing is- most sellers on Payhip didn't even activate their review option.
