It's wholesome how many people understand they're in a good place financially and recommend helping others to the point of pointing out specific homes that would really benefit from this. Thank you to Juan and Steven for being so kind!
THIS is the type of content why I watch. I couldn't care less about the 'negative' pranks like cutting ear buds or fool fans that actually cause bad vibes... These helping out the community videos is what most people will love the most. That last couple was just so freaking wholesome!!
@@BradZ-s2g imagine earphones holding a nostalgic memories attached to them.. Maybe gift from someone who has passed away... And then some prankster RU-vidr comes and cuts it.
@@BradZ-s2g yeah, but I see a big NO from Dawson's channel where he tried being rude to his fans, and then give them some gift/money. I never do that(being rude) to people, so I feel really bad for his fans to get insulted by their fave person. that's what you called "Bad Vibes".
@@dragulia_venaroThey’ll obviously know he’s joking and once they know they’ll be okay bro but I get it but still trust me they aren’t feeling that hurt by it lmao plus they still get a good reward in the end
He could be getting by, and not have any family to take the home. Knowing he will die before he pays the house off fully, he instead gets to have the equity of his home right now to enjoy in his later life, and in return the bank will repossess his house at his death
I love that they don’t do morality tests to see if these folks ‘deserve’ the money or not - And you can tell people genuinely appreciate the help, especially the way people in their communities look out for each other and send Steven and Juan to their neighbors who might need it more. Just so wholesome and genuine - LOVE these videos!!!!
They both types of videos. For example, has vids where he asks for food while pretending to be down on his luck, and has an old series where he pretends to disrespect restaurant owners and if they give him good service, anyway, he gives huge tip.
Wow.. reaction of the people in Utah is quite different from other videos. I'm a foreigner. I'm a Korean living in South Korea. I've seen all the videos you and schapiro posted. The reaction of the people in Utah seems more straight-forward, innocent, austere, ingenuous. They just grab the money and say thank you. Many of other state's people showed a suspicious, doubting, distrustful reaction saying "what's the catch?". I love the way of Utah!!
The distrust is a product of the tendency for apparent offers of kindness to be a trap or a ruse for grifters, especially in places with harder economic scenarios. I know for myself, I was already on guard by the time I was 18 after joining the military and having fellow service people trying to borrow money repeatedly.
Stephen is such a positive guy. I met him a couple years ago in the parking lot of my gym. He was on Oahu filming some stuff for his channel. As he was leaving, he said something like, “promise me you’ll have the best day of your life today.” I told him that I probably wouldn’t. He asked, “will you at least try?” I said sure. Then he pumped his fist and said “yes!” This is actually a true story.
@georges17 It allows homeowners to use a percentage of their home equity to live on. This is a program usually for seniors. A pseudo retirement account. In theory, if you lived 20 years after the initial loan, you'd have the ability to do it again because the loan would be paid in full. There are other types that allow for homeowners to use all their equity available and when they die, the bank gets the home.
@@MRJMXHDit allows the homeowner to borrow money equal to the house’s value. There are no payments on the loan. Instead, the entire loan becomes due when the owner dies or moves out of the house. In some cases, the interest gets rolled into the loan balance. In others there is a fixed monthly interest payment. I think you must be 60-something to become eligible for reverse mortgage.
God I love seeing videos like this... I turn to this kinda stuff when life is looking particularly rough just to remind me you gotta keep your head up cause you never know whats right around the corner. I actually havent been able to make it to church in a several weeks, Lifes been kicking my ass...But I went yesterday and someone (The preist's wife actually lol, i've gotten to know both of them well and they're great people) had a christmas card theybe been trying to get to me. They didn't even know I'm struggling real bad (I had 3 dollars in my wallet) and there was a $50 in it. That let me get food and gas yesterday. My point is, god bless you man because you never know what someone is going through. One person might get that money and just go "well, that was pretty cool of him." and not NEED it (like the guy with the beard who instantly thought of others instead of keeping it) but.... that little stack of paper you put into someone's hands might have just been the one thing that keeps their head above the water. Also, to anyone reading this - Just a quick reminder that you don't have to have a supply of cash like Juan to change peoples lives either. If you see an elderly person in line at the place youre having lunch.... Maybe help cover their cost? Or if you can't afford that.... Just strike up a conversation, ask how theyre doing. Make them feel noticed....... People alot of people (Not just elderly, but especially them) just feel like theyre absoloutely alone. A simple "Hey, I love your hat" might make someone having a very bad day smile....and who knows maybe they were at wits end about to end life and your little compliment kept them going? Spreading love doesnt cost a dime.
Utah - been there once while wildland firefighting in their Wasatch range. The people blew me away. Seemingly, the entire town of Provo wanted to take care of us. We wanted for and needed nothing. They took care of it all. Though the government feeds its employees very well, the people of that town were bringing us extra for the entire 14 days we were there.
So many people complain that this content is only done for the views but I say so what? They could be throwing money at pointless things for lols but instead they change lives. You will always have my respect for videos like this.
People fail to understand the views are how theyre able to provide the money to people. It's not like Juan is printing it himself or robbing banks or something lol
He does it for money. The money he gives doesn't come from his pocket. I agree that this feels better than most of the stuff on RU-vid especially in a divided world but still.
I could feel how much everyone felt blessed through the video. Everyone needed these funds so badly. You could see it in their expressions and feel it as well. Thank you for blessing them. Your content is always so positive!
With a reverse mortgage, he’s essentially selling it back to the bank while living in it. He either Took a large lump sum based on a percentage of the house value or a monthly payment like the bank paying him a mortgage. Basically he doesn’t plan on leaving the house to anyone when he dies or if they do want it they will have to pay back the amount of money he took plus whatever interest accrued. The other option is if there is still equity in the house, whoever inherit, the house would then have to sell it and pay the bank back out of the proceeds of the homes sale. Reverse mortgages or extraordinarily misunderstood. Sometimes horrible decisions sometimes good decisions it really depends on circumstance.
Man i could use a blessing like this right about now but Thanks for all the wonderfully things you do for people. Keep up the great work. Wish we had more people like this.

I’ve watched you Juan from beginning to end, never missed a video. Currently I’m going a very dark time in my life because the people that I love the most are no longer with me now but every time I watch your videos and seeing how you make people’s lives better and giving people hope that they sometimes break into tears on the spot. It’s such a beautiful thing man, and I’m really glad you’re growing your influence because the world needs people like you more than ever.
Love to see you spreading positivity. I guarantee you touched more people than you realize. I think most people were shocked so their emotions hadn’t quite set it. They also probably thought there was for sure a catch! Sad I missed you! I’m in Utah too would’ve been cool to say Hi!
I van just imagine some of these people absolutely freaking out when the door closes. I've been behind on rent before and something like this happening would have blown my mind. Absolute legends 🙌
My family was stationed in Utah for 5 years and it restored our faith in people. It’s hands down the best place we’ve ever lived including cities in which most would consider A locations.
This is a total shot in the dark if you read this, but just today my sister’s (lives in Salt Lake City) roommate (who collects the money and gives it to their landlord) had been knowingly overcharging her on rent for over a year. (Felony under Utah law) My sister finally took matter into her own hands, confronted her roommate and has now been kicked out by the landlord. Thankfully my sister received back the money she was over giving. Keep blessing others!
Love Juan and Steven! My fave subscriptions ❤ Love that most Utahs are so well-off and humble at the same time they wanted to pay forward such a nice thing to do ❤
I love the videos where you give laptops or cars to people that need them. This was a good one. You changed so many people’s lives. Took so much worry from people. Keep up the positive works
I was disappointed when you went back to the studio. I love watching you guys brighten people's days, weeks, months.. Amazing work accomplished by amazing individuals
1:07 I love how awkward Ben looked while you were talking, this is why I love you guys, so genuine. All you care about is helping others feel good. Bless your souls
Man doing this type of content for so long is so awesome you're a very kind guy, i hope you stay succesful all your life so you can be able to help people forever !
I've been watching your videos for almost a decade now, and you never cease to amaze me. You have grown exponentially which is a testament to your fantastic work ethic. You always lift my spirits because not only do you continue to expand and level up, you are compassionate and continue to give back. ❤ u Juan.
This is the best video from 'That was Epic.' I would love to visit Utah. I can't believe that, instead of accepting free money, these kind-hearted people were referring you to their neighbors experiencing financial hardship. More power to you, kind soul. Thank you, Juan, for continuing to bring a smile to vulnerable people's faces.
I enjoy the paying for rent videos. I love that you are blessing people from my home state too. Juan you are incredible. Thank you for giving us Wholesome heartwarming content.
Juan if you’re ever in NY I offer to take you to lunch or dinner brother. I appreciate you paying rents and giving away cars. I’d love to bless you with a meal. You truly inspire me brother, when I make it big I’ll be doing the same thing!
I always love watching these types of videos. It was a big surprise seeing Steven apart of it. You blesses so many people today and it’s really heartwarming to see. Keep up the great work buddy
Throughout my life, I have faced various challenges, and perhaps that's why I greatly appreciate your activity. I understand that poverty is difficult to overcome with assistance, but the moments of joy that people experience are truly inspiring. In fact, some of those in need seem to find happiness - you can see it in their smiling eyes, filled with tears at the same time. It's a wonderful feeling on both sides. Therefore, I wish that every country, in every city around the world, had someone like Huan. And finally, I want to express heartfelt gratitude to your parents for shaping you into the person you are today. #ThatWasEpic Never stop! Bravo!
Never gets old. Glad you finally found some people that really needed the help instead of all the people that had mortgages or their houses were paid off…
You know people that have mortgages have a monthly payment as well. Plus they have to pay for all the maintenance, and homeowners insurance and taxes themselves as well.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints strongly encourages everybody to live within their means and pay off their mortgages, which is why so many people in Sadly Lake (where the church is headquartered) have their mortgages paid off. Also, the lady who came and said she was in charge of the women in the neighborhood gets to know the church members, as well as the non-members, and visits and helps them.
@@lisao7600 That may be true but the title of this posting is paying rent for renters. Btw renters have to pay gas, electric, sewer, trash pickup, renters insurance that you don’t pay, etc. And they don’t own a house typically struggling more. And rents these days are more expensive than a lot of mortgages. Lots of the people in the video didn’t even have mortgages.
@@OnlyInLasVegas are you kidding? People with mortgages have to pay all their utilities. Who do you think would pay them, the bank? If you have a mortgage you have to pay for everything on your own. Why are you upset about him helping mortgage VS renters? Who cares if some of them own their home already and don't have a payment. The people who didn't need help told him about neighbors who did. Jaun wanted to help people so he did. Good thing Jaun has a better heart than you.
These 2 blokes are absolute legends . I couldn’t imagine the feeling having some random knock on your door and give you $1700 just because . I wish this shit happened in Australia 😅
