My little one never watches bowling with me, however, we do get Bob Ross reruns here and she loves watching him. She walked in a minute ago and immediately said, "Why does that guy have Bob Ross hair?"........ROFL
What an up and down final match! They both did great, but those 7-10's delayed history. But Belmo was gracious even in defeat, it's what separates pros of the sport from role models of the sport.
Nearly 10 years ago. He's since matured past that, both he and Sean have, and he's never done anything like it since. Nothing but class since then.@@daryldettmer9160
@@daryldettmer9160 With how little plastic many bottles of today use? 90% sure it was an accident. You can see that Belmonte drinks a lot during his matches.
@Doubling the Fun Lol, “gracious in defeat”. Literally EVERY player shakes hands, bro hugs, etc. after a match. Belmo usually does it quickly and disingenuously without hardly making eye contact with his opponent. Instead, look at the way Butturff compliments and genuinely shows praise to those who have just beat him AND he’ll stick around until the end of the match mo matter what. And he has had some crushing losses. That is real class. Belmo quickly shuffles his losing ass outta there quicker than speedy gonzalez.
I thought that Anthony was going to let that 5th frame distraction ruin his game especially after Belmo ripped a beauty double. Props to him for getting back on track on 1 of the biggest stages in bowling. Congrats to both guy's great final!!!
Don't you understand? I mean it's pretty clear that he knew what he was talking about and hard as fuck to understand but that's okay because I identify as an Apache helicopter and also I'm on an LSD trip right now and cant see my eyeballs. Help.
@@B2Ttrolling when i first began this bowling journey i couldn’t even walk. not physically, but mentally. physically i couldn’t either. also mentally i could not do it as well. the funny thing is? i could, even though many times i thought i had polio. then i realized i did not have polio. and guess what? i still don’t. That's why I bowl 2 handed.
Disagree. Look at the entry angles to the pocket and where the ball exited off the deck. High risk/high reward yes but you set yourself up for leaves like that with the slightest miss. He’s great at playing those angles but I think he should have done like simo and get more forward roll to tighten it up some. That new fever pitch might have been the answer
And for all you haters, having been in similar situations, you can't just turn off being human. Yes he should have squelched his vocal feelings, but it is not all that easy.
Wow, what a nice breaks. I've never seen such a bad carry in Belmo's matches. But let's be honest, two years ago Simonsen have left pocket 7-10 too. Great final!
Not sure why ppl are killing on Simonsen. Did anyone watch Holman back in the day? Or see Tiger or Sergio kill on cameramen in PGA events? Honestly, Simonsen's reaction was pretty subdued and he reacted as many of us would in a pressure packed situation. I guarantee he feels terrible about cursing.
Anthony ( that's my son's name!) and Jason, you bowled a great game! I! You both are very respectable towards each other and it's nice not to have that tension, while bowling! Also, the cell phones shouldn't be an issue while the bowlers are bowling! That's not showing much respect, to the bowler. Good luck guys and may the best man win! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I mean, does a phone really throw off concentration like that. I mean, in other sports when people gotta kick field goals of shoot free throws there is so much noise trying to distract them. I never understood why they need silence if they're so good?
Several times in this they show a power calculation as 'revolutions/minute' multiplied by 'miles/hour'. They are showing numbers like 6.4 up to 10.x. Does anyone know the real way this is calculated? The numbers don't work. IE. 546rev/min * 18.5miles/hour * 1hour/60minutes = 168.35revolution-miles/minute. not 6.4revolution-miles/minute. Might help to understand what units "Power" in bowling actually has. I have looked in several places and "Power" as calculated in the video isn't mentioned anywhere in Google or Bing. I saw it, was curious, and thought I'd ask.
1:23:20. I saw this event live and that split was just absolutely awful. I remembered not being able to say anything in shock for what seemed like forever. I mean, you can't get any more unlucky of a hit than that.
Okay....Andrew Simonson is turning into Pete Weber....next thing he will do is start yelling into the crowd.....oh...he did that.... Just kidding...that was a tough break with the phone going off! He was very justified in saying what he did.
Yes he was. It's different when you're bowling for any championship let alone a MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Some People dont realize that it isn't about them . That person with the phone must feel a little bad
I don't condone exactly what Simonsen said but I don't blame him for being pissed. Unfortunately too many people in society in general don't know when to turn off/silence their phones...
1:05:25 Randy saying you can change the surface of your bowling ball? That seems to contradict what I was told, a long time ago. My old Dick Weber ball developed a track around it, from years of throwing it the same. So I question the ability to rough up a track like that with sandpaper, if not a file, to dig through heavy oil....?
Well Mr. Schmidt, with the new reactive resin, you're able to either dull or polish a ball in order to develop more or less friction (respectively). I'm not sure if the Weber fall is urethane, (which does not soak oil like reactive resin) but surfacing a ball does not remove oil but rather help it get an earlier or later read on the lanes depending what a player is looking for.
They should block off everything behind the stand and the left side or the lane (so you dont see the fan and the roof of the bowling aleey itself) so you really make it look like a real stage @pbabowling
Those pocket 7-10 splits, especially the one where the 6-pin went around the 10 was bullcrap. Hoping Belmo will get it next time but congrats to Anthony. 😄😄😄
Honestly this final showcases the biggest problem in bowling. You can throw 10 perfect shots and lose simply because of 2 bad breaks. Stepladder finals should definitely be 2 game total pinfalls. Especially at this high of a level
thisguy hasaname why? I don’t mind the one game, as it showcases a bowler’s true talent. If they had multiple games it would take forever to finish a telecast. There are a few telecasts where the championship match is two games, but never the whole stepladder. It is stupid and would take an insane amount of time. And luck is just as much a part of bowling as making good shots. I can throw what I think is the best shot of my life and end up leaving the worst splits. It happened to me two weeks ago. I threw what I thought should have been a strike but it left a pocket 7-10. So luck is just as important.
Pc and gameing and washer By Justin I see now. First off, for the start, maybe the uploader started recording the broadcast a little bit late. For the end, I'm not sure what happened. It could've been the fact that the broadcast got screwed up in the uploader's area since this show was taped live. Personally, I also saw some issues with the broadcast including black screens and brief freeze frames. It could literally be anything.
Larry chan re-racks are when a bowler asks that the pinsetter reset the pins and gives a fresh batch of pins. This is usually done to take a breather or to make their opponent sit longer so as to rattle them. It is also done when a bowler thinks a set of pins is off and they need to reset them so as to give the bowler a better chance to strike. Hope that helps.
$1M bonus?? Bowling has that sort of money in it?? And yet pool and billiards titles dont carry anywhere near that kind of prize money. What a fucking shame.
