I completely forgot JR Raymond was bowling. I've been following his bowlerx channel for awhile now, and the other week it just came up in one of his ball review videos, about how he was bowling against Ronnie when he threw that 300 during the Chameleon Championship, and I was like oh wow I forgot about that. Watching him bowl now compared to then his throw is definitely smoother and he's more balanced. Six years ago already I feel like I was just watching this man time flies.
First 300 I bowled in my 40' sport shot league in 2009, I chicken winged the heck out of my final ball due to nerves, and carried a really bad Brooklyn shot. Was using the first Ebonite Gamebreaker at the time.
Shout out to Ronnie Russell, Tommy Jones & all other bowlers who put their thumb in the ball before the fingers. Been doing that ever since I started bowling with a fingertip grip.
right! And I get it, 300s aren't rare in the grand scheme. joe schmo scrubs can get 300s and I've seen it. But on this stage, with this pressure.. it deserves credit!
I saw e j tackett bowl 11 strikes in a row then his last roll only 9 pins total of 299 so disappointing this young man is so good I love to watch Hime bowl
4:05 outro to a great break-beat and Rash showcase. Also, at 4:23 is the logo for the Geico PBA World Series of Bowling VI. Inspiring stuff!!!! WoOOOOOOOO! Go Bowling!
For those you that don’t understand bowling, I’ll explain. The odds of shooting 300 and having every shot dead flush is extremely extremely high. A person needs a little help in shooting 300. Sometimes a person gets a little more luck than other times. Bottom line is Ronnie Russell put up twelves X’s.
baliktad8 go back and look at just about every PBA televised 300 game. A few lucky breaks is acceptable, but when you’re tripping splits every other shot and not adjusting right, it just isn’t a good 300
Never rolled better than 289, but fairly certain I don't have the focus to continue bowling after a 300 and wouldn't want to score one anywhere other than a tournament finals. I think I could score a 130 a lot more easily than a 300, though.
Me too I was bowl score is 300 or perfect game when I was 10 years old age but I don't have been bowl score is 300 or perfect game since I was bowl score is 300 or perfect game since I was 10 years old age.
my Bowling games score is getting a little bit of worse since I was 10 years old so I need to figure out what I do to prepare for my bowling games at home before I go my bowling games.
Wow!!! Can't believe I've come back to here again. This time, I was looking at JR, as he is teaching, and has his own private lanes. Sorry JR, but it was an impressive first two, I've done that without lessons, but I need to be taught from someone who can show me how to do 300 on demand. Your grip thing doesn't seem to be the only thing that works all the time, which is what I need to be the best. I've bowled a 212 since I began my return to bowling. That was after about 80 games, I've been on a steady decline since as the lane is always dry when I get to it. No oil on Sunday with my Pitbull Bark and it skidded off the runway like a bit dog. It came down to straight geometry and I managed to ek out a 115 best of 11 games. Blaaaaaah!!!
Before grade inflation, the best teachers were not the ones who had straight A averages all through school. The best were the ones who really had to study to get those B pluses and A minuses. Likewise the great coaches in sports, like Casey Stengel in baseball, or Phil Jackson in the NBA, while they were good enough to play in the pro leagues i.e. better than 90% of us, they were not star players. They made the most they could of their talent and studied the game more than their more talented peers.
"Slowest messenger I've ever seen" I can't find the video but Kai Virtanen had a very slow trip 10 with the commentators calling it 299 prematurely, and had his back turned when the pin fell!
My Bowling games score are getting a little bit of worse since I was 10 years old so I need to figure out what I do to prepare for my Bowling games before I go to my Bowling games.
So many lucky strikes, with my revs I would have had splits all day long. Then again I haven't bowled a 300 without at least one of my shots crossing over brooky.
4:25 a look back at the PBA Chameleon Championship out of 240 starters, only 4 made it to the finals!!! What a world. Thus, the need to be perfect all the time :0
You people really think this was the messiest 300 on TV? A 300 is still a 300! He had a lot of joke strikes, but they all look the same on the scoreboard.
@@artisticallykaylee7440 Have you ever even met him? Because when I got signed by 900 global this year, he was the very first person to congratulate me. And he has no clue who I am. Started talking to him, and is extremely upbeat and nice..what's your issue?
LMAO at all the hype! News is out of a 10 year old bowling 300's. It's very easy to do it once you know the lane is flat, and the oil has no affect if you throw a straight ball. You like balls? check out the making of my video game. Maybe I'll add some pins to the background. :)
2 things, one, the ten year old who did it is extremely skilled. I bowl with him sometimes and it is insane. Two, this perfect game was on sport shot (meaning the oil is harder) and it has all of the pressure of TV.
You might be right about straight balls, but, can you prove it? And, yes, I did bowl for awhile, until I got so bored of it. Especially when I was about to buy a Katani Slash ball for about two hundred bucks, and had to slap myself to get back to reality. I had this idea that I was going to join the league, and then try to get a 240 average, and join the PBA and go on tour. Then, I realized that it's all just a show, and only people who the commish wants to be in the show make it. There are waaaay too many people out there bowling 300's and it's just too easy... and boring :)
@@captainricco2777 I doubt that you had a 240 avg and couldn't justify buying a $200 ball. I also doubt that you got far enough in your bowling to avg 240 and then get bored of it. Another thing, the pba tour is on a sport shot which means the oil is much harder and much less forgiving.
@@@Zamber999 Okay. I must now take the mantle and prove my theory is correct. I'm getting the Slash today, and will make my 240 and join the league as intended earlier, and I will video tape my new Slash making 300's with straight balls. Then will go to the alleys that are featured on the shows and try to do it with that oil. I'm bowling 5 games today to see if it will even work :)
Using reactive balls is cheating. Reactive ball is program to do the same thing every time you just have to throw it the same way. You want a real game throw a straight ball.
Oh, get over it, you old fuck. Technological advancements have only revolutionized the sport for the better. If you are SERIOUSLY that traditionalized about the sport, then start investing in some modern urethanes, and get rid of your 1976 Ebonite Gyro!
1st.. lucky trip 2nd..good 3rd.. good 4th.. unknown 5th.. unknown 6th.. good 7th.. ugly as fuck 8th.. uglier than fuck 9th.. totally disgusting 10th..good 11th..wet potato lucky roll 12th..high trip result.... best 300 should have been 180 on tv
