Christian is either an evil genius billionaire, with his *amazing* selection of planes, constant travel, his hidden mountain airstrip and underground lair (hangar)...or...he's the luckiest man alive. Always incredible videos.
On those stressful days of being in 2020 I thoroughly enjoy remembering what it was like back in 2016 and what God be willing it will be like in 2022! Thank you Locker for sharing
Locher and Christian. thank you for sharing this beautiful video with wonderful music. What a pleasure it must be to own incredible Pilatus and beyond that be able to fly it out of your backyard. Congratulations on the hard work that you've done to achieve this. Love the videos please continue to share!
Holy crap!!! Go easy on the Landing Gear lever. You are about to yank it out of the control panel. Just gently pull and pull up or gently pull and pull down.
Single pilot, high performance plane, few low stratus back in Locher, cool approach VFR between 2 slopes. The pilot was probably born with the runway 😀
Excellent fun! Would u consider posting a longer version of the taxi from the hangar to runway and back at Locher? It looks so tight taxiing next to the cliff. Thanks for great video!
I thought that the pilot was going to rip the gear leaver out of the panel!. All those passengers, flying over mountainous terrain at F280 on one engine, crazy....
In Europe it's easier to get an FAA PPL & Instrument Rating and fly N registered aircraft, than go through the expense and bureaucracy of the EASA system. LOADS of people do this!
@@stephen_101 Wow. That's ironic because here in the states (Where all of our commercial aircraft have N registered numbers) a lot of private jets have registrations out of the Cayman islands. Lol
Great video...and command of the aircraft. Two observations tho: the amount of force on the gear retract lever seemed considerable; and the lighting onto the runway as you were on final wasn't as bright nor as far down the runway as I thought it would/should be. However, the video probably has something to do with that. Thanks.
He was a bit high on his final approach as indicated by the PAPI lights by the side of the runway. Yet, his landing was pretty good. And yeah, he did yank that landing gear lever pretty hard. Maybe he's just passionate, who knows....
Very good videos and very robust this airplane, I like to always see the flight plans to do the same in my virtual flight simulator nothing more than just a platform of xplane 11 installed in my computer to be able to relax personal embrace and good flights ...
I like to confirm what I am grabbing when I deploy landing gear, for example in Beechcraft they swapped the flaps and gear levers depending on the year you fly. Even in your case, perhaps flying only the Pilatus, it always good to make it a slow, deliberate act. This way in your mind you solidify the procedure into your flow/checklist actions at consistent times during the various phases of flight. Not a problem anyway you do it, just my $.02 Love the video though! Thank you for sharing!
