Personally, I've played both games and despite the "lack" of parts and the bugs I honestly prefer the 2nd game over the first, There are so many features that are new to the 2nd game with more planned like CPU delidding and the ability to customize the shop front. Also technically there were motherboard blocks in the first game both of the Xtreme Waterforce boards from the first game had monoblocks pre installed
I know that the first game had mono blocks, but it's a totally different way of implementation. I personally do also like the new features, but they all have been implemented in ways that at least for me have been a rather bad playing experience and the constant business has made me literally unable to enjoy doing anything in the game. (This should have some weight having played the first game more than 500 hours at this point).
Can't forget about the ST1100-TI, the ST1300-TI and ST-1500TI all being $100 which looks very weird compared to the 500-700W PSUs and the price obviously being the same.
That was actually in PCBS 1 as well until the Esports Expansion update, I think, where they fixed it. I have no idea why it's like this again in PCBS 2
My biggest problem with PCBS2 is the ability to sell PCs. I know they made it for repairing those used PCs, but the best thing you can do profit wise is completely building new high-end PCs and it trivialized money and invetory management. Yeah the margins are lower but the overall profit you make is higher.
Yeah that's a problem, I agree. The game just loses its reason to play the story mode quickly. I'd say that's only a small part of the problems the game has though.
PC building simulator 2 really just wiped out a bunch of parts which kinda ruined the game for me. Also I have a hardware expansion mod installed to PCBS 1 which adds like an additional 1,000+ parts into the game not to mention I have a custom CPU / RAM and GPU creator as well which allows me to mod in parts that's missing from the game. All these mods just made PC building simulator 1 a much better experience to me.
@@EazLP Yeah, the mods literally saved PCBS 1 for me, I could not go back to playing PCBS 1 without the mods I have now. Hopefully we get a hardware expansion mode for PCBS 2 as well which expands the selection of parts by a huge chunk just like in PCBS 1.
We won't see that, or definitely not as fast. According to a modder in my community, PCBS 2 is pretty much unmoddable. Not completely, but "not worth the effort" complicated.
I don't think so. I had fun with the first game way before there were a thing. Yeah, they added to the experience when they were added, but they weren't crucial.

That's kinda true. But that isn't why they aren't in the game, because then there also wouldn't be the 3900 XT. Pretty sure it's not AMDs fault, that the chips aren't there.
