Going to practice this today at the range. This is something I'm sure everyone overlooks and I know I've caught myself overdriving the gun on short (micro) transitions!
Cool to watch that even someone with Max's skill level messes up in practice. Which I guess is the point of it all anyway - have to give yourself permission to make mistakes during practice to get better.
What mag extension is that? What optic mount is that? Not sure why the header tape(?) is on foregrip. My JP pcc rarely gets too hot on foregrip(aluminum), unless its a monster match on hot hot day. Great stuff Max!
@@Maxamundi Love your videos Max! I’d love to hear your thoughts on optic height. Personally, I find 1.93” more comfortable than lower 1/3, and I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing much in terms of cheek weld. I also feel less tension since I'm not as scrunched up. That said, lower 1/3 offers better height-over-bore, which is useful for headboxes and high ports, and possibly a more stable cheek weld, even though I don’t feel a huge difference there. Do you think the discomfort of lower 1/3 is worth it for short, USPSA-style stages if it provides an edge? Is this mostly personal preference, or is it something that really matters? Are there any top competitors using 1.93” mounts? Thank you in advance!
Yes, and you can always be more accurate with your eyes too. We assume we're perfect when tasked with looking at something. But It's extremely difficult to look at the center of the targets accurately at the speed it takes to win. Mistakes with vision = mistakes with gun and hits. There are never ending layers of things to screw up 😂
