@@hectorpatient87 dude that’s something that took me a good year to get out of. So what help me to start taking pitches was taking the first pitch no matter what. An go from there… the pitcher will throw you a strike it’s just up to you to guess when an trust what you see.
Same @drake I’ve been doing better by practicing with my dd team with like 50 contact on legend and changing the way I hold my controller so my thumb is at 90 degrees and I’ve been better at placement
I don't get where the tips are aside from sliders. Just looks like you crushing balls. Thumbs up though for you trying to help though respect lol. Can you elaborate on the message?
Loving the content bro, this is my first year playing mlb and I’ve been STRUGGLING with not swinging at everything, but short to the ball makes so much sense.
I got rid of the center circles on my PCI and that helped me a ton with seeing the ball. I only have inner basic. Helps a lot when you play at lower difficulty in showdown and stuff where the diamonds/circles are huge
Thanks for the vid bro I just started playing the show and it's badass I just can't hit for shit. Damn dude. So set the sliders while in practice mode right? Your probably burnt on this stuff if your still playing. Talk at you son bro nice fkn smacks man damn nothing like the sound of the crack of the bat on a perfect perfect damn my brain is fried
ah got it. So just move the PCI super slightly. Are you on Kontrol Freaks? Where do you place your thumb? Also, any tips on where your eyes are? Do you look at the pitches release point? Some of the balls I watch are so hard to determine.
I don't use KF man. And I place my thumb in the middle of the analog stick, eyes are straight at the pitcher and not really, don't really look at release
I usually hold my pci up and in. I’m gonna give this a try though because I usually struggle most with those low sliders and sinkers away. Will report back. Great video
Tulo this has helped me alot when I got my head out of my ass. First game on against p5 Cabrera and first inning stunk. Second inning triple with Buxton his first hit for me in 22 ab no doubter from Cedric perfect perfect groshans hits a triple and then nick castellanos his a 101 mph fastball 487 feet and he just raged quit
Dude i watched this at 5 am and felt soo happy someone made a super useful video thank you i literally started jumping on my bed from excitement this is gonna help so much.
Keep up the work man, love the enthusiasm. I'm a new player to the Show, and I've been loving pitching but struggle with hitting. This practice looks great and I'm gonna try it and let you know when I'm slugging.
Yo tulo bro appreciate the tips- quick question do you keep your eyes on the pitcher through the whole windup and everything or are you looking at the pci at some point when ur setting up pre pitch?
Yo Tulo i got 70k stubs who u think i should get for infield? I had JRam but sold him cuz i think hes ass but who should i get between Tatis, Seager, or Lindor.
Hey bro, great vid. Question tho. I've been trying to be more disciplined and not swinging at pitches that "I don't like." But I keep finding myself in 0-2 situations because I'm too picky. How does your mentality change in 0-2 situations? Thanks!
I still keep same approach waiting for something over the middle, if its dotted I'm not afraid to take a called strike looking, but if I see that it's a strike i go into late protection mode. So moral of that is, dont be afraid to take called 3rd strikes✊🏼✊🏼
If he keeps dotting good pitches and getting you in holes (Which is rare) then gotta see if you can yank those tough pitches/Take them the opposite field early in counts
watched this multiple times this week and definitely helps but still struggling on being short to the ball is your thumb completely on top of the analog or like just the tip of your thumb on analog or could you just explain how you hold left analog
Appreciate it man keep up the good work correctly using contact swing after watching your other video when they patch that do I switch to A or X swing on Xbox
@@VindictiveRaider Look for a common pitch they throw and sit on it sometimes if they throw fast and in fastballs ill leave them on purpose till i have 2 guys on base then with a good hitter count sit there and smash it when its thrown etc looks for consistancy from their pitchs no matter how hard you try to change locations youll always throw something somewhere we are creatures of habit.
@@tulo7244 what if the biggest dot is in the middle does that mean perfect line drive since it’s the second dot or since it’s the biggest it’s a perfect fly up?
Also sit on that inside fastball, react to offspeed. Minimal movements will help a lot. And being on that inside fastball will prevent from getting jammed
Be patient, i know its hard af lmao but for like the first 2 innings just take pitches and pick up on their pattern. Im 30-5 in ranked seasons and you just honestly get better as you go because you have to adapt. But, like i said i take a lot more pitches for the first 2 inning to try and get on their pattern
@@itsmedababy3883 Tried that too, but their pattern changes once they found I figured them out. Then it's another two innings to find the new pattern again. Better players change patterns constantly so I could never find any pattern.
@@tulo7244 I will move it the opposite way of a breaking ball to meet it before it breaks even if after I’m like I knew it was not going to be there. Or I will move it way to far up or down and not go diagonal
@@tulo7244 sit up and in a bit, wait for a fast ball up in the zone , if they throw an offspeed adjust to the ball and crush it unless you need to slam the pci down.
Huge Help Tulo!! Watch this last year and made tremendous strides with my pci. Struggled a bit this year in 21 in HOF and Legend and came right back to re watch! Got me right mentally again with the pci! Thanks bro
I started off the season 9 and 1. Would you say that's pretty good. I spent the first 40 hrs of playing just grinding showdown so I have an 87 overall team lmao
