pcpanik-Musik : Medeli AKX10 - How to create User sounds 

Exactly, after looking at a review of this keyboard I sought to and finally got to buy one. I'm not sure why this keyboard is not on Amazon so that people in the caribbean can purchase and have it shipped.

Just like Yamaha has keyboards from 300 to over 2,000 euros that contain several hundred sounds, Korg also has them. There are good sounds and less good sounds. So I can't confirm the generalization you quoted. Sometimes one model sounds better with one sound, sometimes the other with the other sound. You can't and shouldn't make a blanket statement here. Therefore I can only give you the advice not to attach any importance to such statements. I made two videos with demos of the so-called AXS sounds of the AKX10. Listen to them in a quiet environment with good headphones and decide for yourself whether you like them or not. The better always kills the good, and my €1,800 Korg Pa1000 has basically better sounds than the €690 Medeli AKX10. Which shouldn't really come as a surprise either. Nevertheless, the Medeli has good basic sounds that have already been well preset with the integrated effects. If you want to make sure you're buying a keyboard that you just turn on and don't have to modify anything, go to a store and try out different models.

@@pcpanikMusik Thanks for the good advice. While the Medeli is about $700 US it is only available to order from a few online stores so I can't test it in person. Also, here in the States, the PA1000 is $2600 US so that would break my budget. Thanks again.

@Bill Andre I think it really depends on your demands. Do you plan to go on a big stage with big audience with it? If not and you are searching for a nice instrument, that can be used to play at home and for friends, at kindergartens and retirement homes, go for the AKX10. If you want to spend more money, have a look at the Korg Pa700 (but it has no Voice Harmony effects or arpeggiator. The Pa1000 doesn’t have a real arpeggiator either, which I found really annoying. There is only an arpeggio effect to use with the KAOSS engine, but you can‘t program it.) Or go for the Yamaha SX700 (but Yamahas Style editor is a pain in the a**). I think, there is not much more choice.

@@pcpanikMusik Thanks again. Home and retirement homes describes my playing locations. My only other choice (and this would be in addition to a hardware arranger not instead of) is a software arranger like vArranger or One Man Band.

@@pcpanikMusik Many thanks it is a new thing for me as i am an absolut beginer ! I dowenload the soundfront to my computer and them i have to connect a printer cable from medeli to computer rigth ? Or do i use just one sound and use a Pen ? ( Can you make a video very detailed from the very beginning it can be useful for many beginners i supose ) Many thanks

@@pazserenaeuna You have to crate an expansion pack with your sound, made from the sf2 file. Please don't be angry, but I can't create a video for every question. Also, I don't understand the point of buying this keyboard and then calling for yamaha sounds (I don't mean you specifically). If you want yamaha sounds, you should simply buy a yamaha keyboard. 🙂 That being said, the German Grand in the AKX10 is excellent.

@@pcpanikMusik rigth i undearstand it is ok ! I have this model Medeli but after having it i am not pleased with the piano sounds at all they look to brigth and i need something more mellow more intimate more warm and i am trying to see if i can import to the extencion some other piano sounds that are eventualy better ! I have this Medeli because it was more less money the same Yamaha equivalent is mutch more expensive ! but yor information was excelent i am already working to some how instal it on my computer and them pass it to the Medeli many thanks it is ok

@@pazserenaeuna No need to justify yourself. 😉 It is possible to import your own sounds. I just wondered. I am often asked whether or how to get the Yamaha SX900 sounds in there. I think the easiest way is to buy an SX900.

I don’t know, but I think it should work, to share styles. The models are from the same hardware. Question is, if there are all voices available on each model. You should ask Medeli.

Yes of course, you can play 3 voices at the same time. 4 if you split the keyboard. 3 on the right, one on the left. You can choose the voices with the touchscreen, turn them on and of with the buttons L, R1, R2, R3 and Set the volume within the mixer.

Zu den Expansions sei gesagt: das Keyboard ist ja ganz neu auf dem Markt und wahrscheinlich gibt es daher keine. Es wird ja mit 800+ Sounds ausgeliefert, damit ist erst mal der Grundbedarf gedeckt. Ob und wie sich dazu eine Community bildet hängt auch stark vom Verhalten seitens Medeli ab, ob die noch vorhandenen Einschränkungen behoben werden. Was mich zur Kompatibilität bringt - ich selber habe kein PSR Keyboard. Kann also dazu wenig sagen. Es gibt den Weg über die GrandSuite Software per Import/Abspeichern. P.S.: ich schaue mir das mit Style Import/Speichern und im AKX10 nutzen mal näher an und mache die Tage ein Video dazu.

The Keyboard itself can only Split into two parts. But you can choose from three different Voices in the right hand easily with the dedicated buttons. With the Grand Suite v2 Software you can store any sampled sound you like into any note. So you can create your uniqe sets/parts of sounds. Just like an old Emulator II. @@pcpanikMusik Ohh!! The Yamaha SX 700/900, Roland etc rules...in such a case. Was really hoping that we could make three individual splits in the keybed...offering three different patches! @@bappamama Thing is: it is NOT a Yamaha SX. 😉 What you can do, is set different split points for the chords and left hand voices.
