There is no bigger, stronger man than one who loves animals and can cry. This man is the ultimate. Please don't leave Yellowstone. I'm 81, my last good show to watch.
My late husband used to deer hunt & fish. He taught those skills to my son as well. He is big on conservation, seldom if ever kills a doe. He taught me how to butcher the deer and brine it before cooking. These skills have help us survive during rough times.
Kevin Costner is one of the very few who is highly intelligent, humble, and very handsome. He is aging gracefully and not vain. He has a great sense of humour and can express a seriousness that you rarely see. Thankyou so much for sharing all this with us today, Mr Costner.
Kevin Costner I believe would make a Great candidate for President. I am very impressed with how he carries himself. He seems honest n fair n just. He is a very intelligent person. Mr Costner would you consider running for President? I think you would do a great job at it. This country needs someone we can all get behind to lead us into better times. I really wish you would consider it. KEVIN COSTNER FOR PRESIDENT!
I happened upon this youtube post by accident. This speech will go down in history. He is so eloquent and his words moving. Some people will think the subject matter is hunting and guns. To me the speech represents family, love and freedom. Kevin Costner is not scared to speak from the heart. This is so refreshing and what is missing globally in 2023. We must all follow his example.
In our world of plastic surgery enhanced actors, how refreshing to see such a handsome man aging gracefully. He really seems like a man you’d love to spend time with, to talk with & listen to. ❤️
His young hot trophy wife didn't stick with him. Has no idea what she lost. He lost the real world he came from when the multimillion dollar place on the ocean was his choice to bring his family up in. Now maybe he'll get back to his roots. Success and millions and a young wife who should have packed a traitor and followed him.
Can't really get much better than that. What a beautiful moving, living story. Kevin always draws you in with each word, like you're part of it all, and really we are.
I was married to the most wonderful man for 34 yrs until he passed 16 yrs ago!!!! I’m still his widow and always will be until we meet again in Heaven!!!!!!!!!
Extremely "INSPIRATIONAL" Man, Soulful IN ALL his "FINE WORKS". There's NO question he's doing just what God, pressed into his heart, he exercises his "FREE WILL", and there are definitely boys & girls WHO will work to in that arena of "being as strong of character, genuine, kind, humble, very happy for their "gifts" they were all blessed with - heart & soul". ❤️🙏💙🙏🏽💙🙏🏼💙🙏🏾💙🙏🏻💙🙏🏿
I wish my Dad could have heard this. He hunted with his father to help feed the family in the draught ravaged prairie of the late 30s, and to feed the family he and my mother created. The Enfield rifle and his shotgun are still being used by family today, in the same prairied landscape he loved so much. This speech brought back so many memories, I'm in tears. Thankyou for posting this and thankyou Mr. Costner.
Build a veggie patch; grains, legumes, etc last for years and years.. Just a bit over the 'poor me' stories when you are taking a life that you dont have the right to. We are all equal in this world.
Mr. Kevin Costner I have so much respect for you. Your speech was beautiful and had me in tears laughing. God bless you and your family and thank you for saying that you would continue making westerns❣️❣️❣️ God bless you also for making the western life come back into this computerized mess of a world that we live in. People need to see and understand what it was like because I believe that we are headed back that way in so many ways. God bless herhomesteaders as they find ways to live much like they did back in the western days. Thank you so much for the way you speak. You had me seeing everything you were talking about and in tears laughing at your antics as a kid. We had two horses for my daughter and I love them both and I felt their love for me as well. I am a paraplegic due to MS, but I would get in between both horses (one was six hands and one was a little over five hands tall) but being between those two horses, I felt such peace❣️ they would rest their face, one on each shoulder and just breathe. I never got to ride but my daughter did and that was the most important to me. Some people say horses are just stupid animals. Well, I know for a fact that they are extremely intelligent. How could they not be they are made by God❣️ Mr. Costner. Thank you so much and God bless you. Please stay well and keep speaking. It makes a huge difference ! A very positive difference. I didn’t know you made this beautiful Music! I will be checking that out❣️ Sincerely , Tammy Summerfield, From Central Florida
I’m leading my third Irish Setter into his first field and I know exactly what he’s talking about. God bless all those who know how and protect our environment.
Your is such a great speaker. Using truth, facts, humor, logic and about your wonderful life. Such a real man..there are not many these days. Thankyou Kevin for sharing your life. Nancy in Texas
Met his dad while hunting in South Dakota just a ordinary man who I had the privilege to meet just talking hunting and bird dogs Kevin had been hunting with him that day but left to go somewhere
Wow That was beautiful Reminded me of my Nan she would walk for miles with a 22 gun n a sugar bag shooting room SKIN them n salt the skin. ,This is how she bought her 1st Kero fridge.
@KevinCostner-lr1sp Thank you Kevin . I hope you’re doing well now. I have enjoyed your acting for many years! If you desire to retire, you deserve a peaceful retirement!!
I love him !!!! so moving and smart good heart great speaker words so clear and intelligent YELLOW STONE IS THE BEST any chance you run for PRESIDENT FOR ALL AMERICANS ❤❤❤
Kevin; You have class and are honest , genuine and Yellowstone won’t be the same without you. Please don’t leave the series; You ARE YELLOWSTONE. Love you and God bless you and your family. Happy Easter
A great man, a great actor he has a lot of class, he knows how to speak to people. I have always loved him Kevin come back to us, without you yellowstone will no longer have the same meaning, you are Yellowstone
That was so good. It was so good to grow up in those days when God, family and country was what mattered most. There is no perfect time in history because there is always good and evil… yet somehow the evil was kept in check more often by good men and women. Praying we can get back to honoring God and family and our Constitution and laws that made this an amazing land to grow up in when I was a kid.
There is something about being an artist. There is an inate sensitivity. You gleen it from the way he tells a story. Immediately, there is rapport with his audience.
Humility brings honor and Kevin Costner is such a “CLASS ACT” Every Artists need to study him if they would like to break barriers and telling meaningful stories. So proud to be introduced to him through “The Bodyguard” May his craft, character and conviction continue to shine.
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this, but it breaks my heart, each time. When you love your dad as much as he did, it won’t ever go away. He will always have a special memory in his heart. Kevin, you should become a writer when you decide to hang up your spurs. You would be a great one, for one reason, you would make the reader, feel as if they were right there in the story. God bless you and stay safe with those guns.😍😘 by the way, I’m sure your Dad is listening to that song you wrote for him.
I am louis's wife writing this I loved Kevin's speech it was so full of familiar with my husband. Could have very well been him saying those very same words. I loved it! Thank you Kevin and I have seen all your movies you are great !
Those who laughed weren't listening. Forgive them, Kevin. Your song touched my heart so as it made me grieve my own losses. You are truly a talented man. I remember Disneyland 1950's...was so different. As a Yellowstone fan, I shall be looking for your gun.
I fell in awe of Kevin Costner in Dances with Wolves, and have not changed my mind at all since that day. What a beautiful legacy he has left for you and me and what an astounding speech. And let’s give Yellowstone through him to the other actors who have made my life a quiet a great bit more tolerable to say the least. I would hate to see him leave Yellowstone, but the actors he would leave behind could carry it on with Grace and I will continue to watch as excited as ever! Thank you all!
I don’t hunt. Never have. I did some shooting once and I was good but I never thought about killing anything but that speech was interesting and certainly opened my eyes. The bit that affected me the most was the song about the last time. My older brother who is 72 and until recently always looked like a Kevin but lately his health has taken a dive and now he is a frail old man and that song hit the nail on the head for me as it is just how I felt when I last saw my brother who is in the last stages of departing this planet. I’ve liked Kevin as an actor all my adult life and love his songs and his movies and even though I don’t like violence I’ve really enjoyed Yellowstone as it is unpredictable and I like that. Thank you Kevin (even though my chances of you reading this are similar to me winning the lottery and like hunting I don’t participate) thank you for such a moving and interesting speech and being true to who you are. May the Lord bless you richly.
@Free Spirit With Nature Im 81, looking at the last part of the book. I believe a massive improvement to our waterways would be to immediately stop all use and manufacture of single use plastic of all kinds. We lived quite well before it was a habit to grab water bottes for the drive to the store to get a few more cases. We are close to irreversible damage. God help us all. Be afraid, be very afraid
@@karentate9114 totally agree. I fear my children ages 19 25 and 30 will see famine massive water shortages and so many other things. It's sickening and we are definitely past the point of no return. It is not a partisan issue either...all politicians, all countries and all people are responsible. Makes me incredibly sad....
So sorry about your brother. I hope he is in peace and not suffering too much. God bless him and yall as he transition to eternity in heaven. Kevin truly is a one if a kind person.
Congratulations Kevin! Your life story is inspiring! Your song brings back memories of the last time singing with my Dad in church. Our bond was through music. I sing and play alone now. I still feel he is with me though, when I play those guitars of ours. Awesome fact you revealed about your Dad’s rifle being in Yellowstone! God bless you!
Ok I teared up. It was a great speech and a great song . I love him on Yellowstone and we want him there until the end . He is Yellowstone in my opinion. I hope I can find this song somewhere.
It was one of the best speeches, if not the best I've ever heard. It was an emotional swing for me. It was all fun and sadness in that speech. I felt all the heaviness and longing that Kevin held within himself talking about his parents. Thank you for sharing this video👍
To be a Giant, and yet be so humble .... that comes from never forgetting what it's like to have so little, and it being okay. We thought his story telling was good, until he told his own story. No wonder we have always been enthralled !!
Wow, I"m floored! Next to Chuck Heston, this is the most endearing speech I've heard from a "Hollywood" celeb in my life (I'm 66 years old) I have a new found appreciation for Keven Costner I never knew I had. Keven, perhaps you'll be the one someday to lead (and fix) the NRA for the rest of us.😀
My husband was a hunter and had a collection of pistols, rifles, shotguns. He was a very good shot and prided himself on dropping deer with one well-placed shot. Our freezer was always full of venison, and it was delicious. I so miss those days. Kevin Costner describes those wee hours with him creeping around, trying not to wake me. I would make a big pot of chili for the hunters when they returned, and I would hear of their adventures of the day. Yep, I miss it, always will. Thank you, Mr. Costner.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful life story Mr Costner. The world is truely blessed to have honest, down to earth actors such as yourself. A champion by now surely of the 30 30, and an avid supporter of Duck shooting season. You are not only a hero of the 'Orange'..... 'Left and Right.....' but you are our champion of the big and small screens, and an excellent story teller of real life.
Oh my to hear you Kevin tell this story of the guns & hunting!!! I didn't want it to end. & The song that played & to see you sit there listening to it, gave me goosebumps cause we all can imagine what you were thinking . The story was happy & sad but true & it was fun to get a few laughs from ya! Thank you Kevin for sharing with us !!!👍💓✌️
A beautiful description of the traditions surrounding the passion we share. The real important things…we are there for the thrill of the hunt but what gives us more pleasure are the buddies, the dogs, the land, the cabin, the meals, the rituals. It is an American tradition, passed down and nurtured by the ones who really love and care about it. Thanks Kevin Costner.
What an amazing talented guy.. Moving song. They say everyone has a song in them. Wish mine would materialize. Wishing Kevin and his family all the Best. His parents must of been amazing people.
Once he steps away from his marriage his children lose his protection. I pray for him because from the first time I saw him I adored him.❤ He is not only a wonderful actor but a wonderful filmmaker and an everyman to us all. He is my age and lived in Orange Co.just like me.with connections to Oklahoma with Irish decent. I guess that's why I love him..I just get him like so many of do.❤❤❤❤❤ Love to you and your beautiful children.
LOVE this man and this GREAT SPEECH!!! Yes we collected stamps and rolled coins….still roll coins. He has FAMILY LOVE! Something you can’t buy with stamps or coins! My husband is an avid hunter every since he was a VERY young boy along with our kids and Grandkids and our up coming youngins !!! They don’t shoot unless they plan on eating it. The companionships that comes out of hunting is PRICELESS!! Love the little tid bit about the 30/30 amazing!!!
Thank you Park Cities Quail! This is a very special speech by a very sincere hunter! He's sharing thoughts and feelings that men rarely share with women. But we know all about them, that's what we think about when all that bumping around starts, on those early, dark mornings. That's when we get up to fill the thermos bottles, and double check to make sure you haven't forgotten anything. I have a very dear friend that I call brother, and he calls me sister. Our friendship has been going on for forty -six years now. He's been bumping around in the dark for years, all alone. Although he's been married several times, he's just recently found someone who starts the bumping around before he gets to it. She fishes, drives the boat, and turkey hunts, but these are skills she has only learned since they married. A while back he was telling me a story about her helping get the boat ready for a fishing trip. And I couldn't help but tell him how great it was that they had met. I said, "you know all these years you were looking for a woman like me, and just didn't know it." He looked at me and smiled, "I guess you're right." So thank you for letting us share some of Mr. Costner's hunting stories! That's the other thing good sporting women do, is listen, understand and laugh at the tales hunters tell!❤
I’m starting to appreciate that most of the people I most admire came out of nothing. They made themselves. And they are humble. You have to be creative to think you can succeed when you’ve lived a time without much. It forces you to think around those obstacles in your way. Just my thoughts. Mr. Costner’s hunting stories made me think of my sons. I taught them about hunting and that “eat what you kill” rule. They’re grown now and tell stories about when they were younger. It’s safe to say, they didn’t always obey that rule. As their Mom, I knew. I just hoped the guilt would teach them better than I could. It did. I’m pretty proud of all three. Good men.
When you took your father on his last hunt and he (rolled) four birds, we in northern Minnesota call that ground swatting! And for elderly people that is definitely O.K.😅
Absolutely MARVELOUS..............GREAT ..Thank you for the wonderful history of your life and your parents. I lost my parents years ago ,, They are still with me everyday. i will look for that GUN IN YELLOWSTONE
Congratulations on all your achievements! Always a pleasure listening to your stories of how you grew up. My favorite actor and love watching Yellowstone series. Hopefully all the issues can be resolved quickly and that you remain on the show as long as it runs. Thanks for all the great movies and series. God Bless you and your family!
Thank you Kevin my name is Vic I've been there you have really made a difference more people really need to realize how important life is as soon as I watched this video I sent it to both of my sons thank you God bless you
Wonderful speech. I've always liked Kevin Costner as an actor , but not knowing his background growing up. I'm 53 now. It actually reminds me of myself growing up a little bit in Florida. Didn't know they hunted in California. Thought they were all actors and surfers. I grew up in Florida in the 70'S and 80's? Nevertheless, I can relate. I lost my dad 2 years ago and I loved your song. I live in Spokane, WA now and I will definitely come see Modern West in concert if you are close. Take care in that crazy California life. Respect. Thank You.
Thankyou Kevin Costner for the privilege of hearing your beautiful tribute to your dad, 😢 whom it is obvious, were precious times shared in stories of a life, never to be repeated..Really loved your song well done. Thank you for your humility and passion for ❤and life itself, Godbless🙏🏼 😊
Mr. Kevin Costner i have and loved every single movie that you have made😊you are a woman's dream, I have cried during those moment's in all the movies I have watched you in Ventura with your band. I am 67 now and before my time comes i would hope someday to meet you.. I live in Ventura, CA 🧡💛💚💙💜 Thank you again for your amazing gift for telling you stories. Anna Marie🙃
Amazing story that so reminds me of growing up in western north carolina with my dad and brother, we hunted and fished together and were very close, we lost dad in 2003 , i also served in Vietnam in 1969 -70 as i said the parallels he talks about how hard life was so fits for me and floods my heart with memories, God bless you Kevin Costner for the memories, you made my day!!!
