WOW what a long hard day! You are really an amazing family! Please stay safe! Looking forward to your next video! Take care and I hope you get some R &R days in real soon! 🙏😊🇺🇸🏕
The wind turbines are huge. About as tall as a football field is long (100 yards). They have gotten much taller in recent years. The total sweep of the blades (the outer circle) determines how much electricity they can generate. They are very difficult to transport to their permanent location. We have seen them coming through on the freeways here and they are monsters. Not just a wide load, but also a very long load. Not just one load, but up to 9 or 10 for one wind turbine.
41 miles, what a day!!!!! Mom, and her boys are so tuff! I remember when I lived in he desert the temperature variations between night , and day is so crazy. Those wind Turbine aviation warning lights make for such a wonderful night time light show. I bet the night stars in some parts of that desert are really brilliant to look at while night hiking. Thank you The Field Trip crew for another blessed and wonderful day.
I do think there's something about the varying temperatures that takes a (physical/mental) toll on us - we aren't used to those extremes every day/night. I wonder if there's something to that?
Wow,....over 40 miles! What an amazing day for you all. When you get a chance, you should look up Wind Turbines gone bad on you tube, it can get really crazy when they fail. Anyways, we will keep praying for safe travels!!
30% of all the birds on the planet have disappeared since the 1970’s. Those wind farms are a big culprit in killing birds. That’s really all I see when I see them. Congratulations on the 40!
To answer your questions about the windmills: "The rotor hub height for the four City of Tehachapi turbines is 75 feet above ground level. The blades are 7 meters (or 23 feet) in length meaning the overall height of the turbines is just under 100 feet."
