The lake in the distance is Hemet Lake. You pass by it if you go from PVC to Idyllwild, but if I remember correctly. you don't actually see it, just the Marina store. When I lived in the Coachella Valley, we used to camp at Hurkey Creek campground which is just down the road from the marina.

Hey pilgrim, if you mean to move around dead timber like that, and sometimes one must. Be aware, those stems are just waiting to fall. Will today be the day...

6:00 Something tells me that black spot on your face was from brushing up against a burn down tree branch. Do i need to make u put on safety goggles. Be careful, but stay "entertaining".
