I've watched at least 20 videos on resupply and this is hands down the BEST! Not just the resupply info but the town reviews. I've been stressed out about my resupply plan until now. Thank you so much for the valuable info and insight.

This makes me so happy to hear!! I'm basically just trying to make videos that I would have liked to watch before my thruhike, so that is super validating! I'm so glad it was helpful for you!

Great video Grace, I am really enjoying hearing your opinion and personal experiences in these towns. At the end of your last video on this, could you possibly list all the towns you feel a resupply package should be mailed to? That is what I am hoping to find out. Thanks again and looking forward to the rest of your videos on this. Thx

Btw just got my date/permit a few days ago for March 26th. It’s getting real, I’m sure you remember. What date did you guys start?

Hello my friend, rewatching all three resupply videos consecutively to write down all the towns you actually sent boxes too. Cross referencing that with Dixie's, Darwin's and a few others to try and figure out the best 10-13 lol. I am sure you hated this part. Oh what app did you use on trail to edit your videos? It came out really nice....

Honestly, I think I planned too much for the resupply. You can decide as you go which towns you want to send boxes to. Just have one ready for Warner Springs and maybe Kennedy Meadows South and from there you can pick and choose from what you hear from other hikers. Some towns had surprisingly great options and I wish I had just packed up and mailed a box from there. I just used the iMovie app on my phone! Thanks!

GraceGoesGlobal I am a planner and I’m driving myself nuts. I have a buddy who’s going to be sending me the boxes and he’s not a planner so it’s stressful plus I want to make it as easy as I can for him. I have a buddy who’s in my Pct section hiking group here in San Diego that thru hiked the trail last year as you did and he’s a super planner and he said the same thing as you that he way over planned. I’ll have the newest Yogi’s guide with all the addresses so I can leave that with my buddy so he knows where to send boxes as I figure it out. I use iMovie too but I like how on your main picture you use for the picture people see on your videos before they click like, it’s says in cursive “PCT 18 episode 4” and so on. How did you do that with iMovie or did you take a still pic and add that text to it with another app? Thanks for answering all my random questions lol

Hey, Can you do a video on how your packed food worked out? Regarding stoveless--it seems like a lot of the packaging for ready to eat dinner stuff is bulky and may add up to the weight of a stove set--since so much of it can't be repackage into light weight baggies. Thanks

Hey there! Love these videos, as they have been ultra helpful coming up with a resupply strategy for my vegetarian diet. I will say adding mileage information would be helpful just to get an idea for how spread out everything was. Hope to see more awesome content from you in 2019!

Question: What do you think is the ideal time to start the PCT? And if your first choice of a date to start the PCT was not available because no permit was available, what would be your second choice and why? Thanks for all the GREAT information!!!

Great idea for starting a PCT Resupply Guide!. Its helpful to hear your personal experiences and what's available at each stop, so we get a feel for things pre-PCT. Thanks Grace, you rock!😘

Thanks for doing this video Khaleesi. I'm mapping out my resupply for this coming season's thru-hike. I've pretty much done it already, but am making little tweaks here and there. Yeah, I was going to resupply at the supermarket in Wrightwood, but it's a Jensen's and they do run expensive. We have one nearby, I think I'll simulate purchasing 4.5 days of food there, and see if it'd be cheaper to mail a box. A large priority is $18.75 though. I have to see if it all evens out, or if its still cheaper than shopping there. Also, thank you about talking frankly about Hiker Town. I get a lot of mixed messages about the place. I think, if I hit it early, I'll pick up my box from them and take a break, then move on. If I hit late, I'll stay unless totally creeped out. I can't wait to see your other resupply guides!

Grace I might have missed it or it's my short term memory loss being old but where do you live. This could help me to understand what's cold or not and what people think like from different parts of the country. Being from Washington I tend to like the rain and cold where as someone else might think I'm never going back cause it was wet or too cold.

I live in Houston so cold weather is something I'm not at all used to. So, you'll probably be fine!
