This LaserWash G5 is located at 7310 Louetta Rd. The top wash, featured in this video, is an jaw-dropping $14.
This is probably one of the better G5 units that I've seen, but the performance is nowhere near $14 worthy. The wash seemed to struggle on coverage of the car's right side, it couldn't quite reach far enough over the vehical for some reason. I can't say I've ever been a fan of the G5, and it seems like most people on RU-vid would agree with me on that. Still nice to be able to find one though, as they've almost become an oddity these days.

Surprise! I was able to afford a new camera so I can start shooting in an ultrawide format in order to help capture more of the car washes that I shoot! I hope everyone enjoys this new, high-definition experience!

Note, this system is the only touch free car wash in HEB. But unfortunately, they actually removed the system and replace it with a tandem Surfline.

I still will never use a G5. Absolute garbage systems PDQ made. I’ve heard of G5’s running Simoniz which is extremely expensive touch free chemical that still wasn’t able to clean a car.

They seem to always have a few broken rotating nozzles

Car Wash Classics And those nozzles are EXPENSIVE. When I met my PDQ distributor she told me one G5 nozzle alone is like $150. I think it uses like a dozen or more nozzles.

@@UtahCarWashChannel That makes sense, seeing as it's a pressurized, rotating part. $150 is certainly expensive to a consumer, but that's actually pretty cheap in terms of a business expense.

Car Wash Classics I respectfully disagree. A nozzle on a Laserwash 360-Plus is only like $7 dollars for one. It’s significantly cheaper then a G5 nozzle. And with the low throughput you would be spending more money then you probably earned from washing cars. I also heard they broke quite often.

Car Wash Classics Yeah, the G5 is a horrible system. The 360 PLUS is way better.

G5s my favorite system they do good job but sucks tk see them get replaced by pro touch tandems or tandem surfline or 360 plus and they're retired now I wish pdq didn't retire them

If the rotating nozzles didn't break as often as they do, I think it'd be a good system. I'm curious to see just how well one works on a really dirty car.

Justin Elrod I’m glad PDQ retired them. They were horrible machines that’ll break down a lot and do a crappy job at cleaning.

How old is this machine I can see the signs look burned out

That's a good question, I'm not too sure. I would guess that this car wash was installed between 2000 and 2005, because the M5 came out in 2005.
