Thank you everyone for the feedback and watching my video. I had started making more videos, unfortunately my family and I had a house fire and I am in a stand still until I get my machines and drives back if they can be restored. If there is something specific you would like a video on let me know and I will start planning them out. If I haven’t responded to a question yet I am sorry and will be getting to it soon. Thanks again!
Thank you for that. just purchased this machine a month ago. it started off good, but I began having a lot of bunching in the back. I never pressed the machine button to see the step by step on threading machine. of course just doing it the way i normally do it. In addition never understood that you have to press the other button when you are changing threads or bobbins. I was ready to take in for repair and or exchange. After seeing this it makes sense. Going to follow your instructions now.
Thank you, this helped me very much.. only issue i have.. is the lowering the foot.. not moving the plastic piece at step 4 of threading.. but i can just push it back and still thread it..
When you put the needle up and down does the plastic piece move? When you put the foot down and pull on the thread do you have any tension making it hard to pull on the thread or does the thread just unwind on the spool quickly. Step 4 is the tension disk and should allow the thread to move easily when the foot is in the upright position when its down the disk locks the thread. So when threading through step 4 the presser foot should be up so the thread can move freely and when you get to the step to thread the needle thats when you should put the foot down so the thread doesn’t move. Let me know if this helps or if it is still giving you problems.
Really a huge help to me! The only thing I don’t quite get is that last step in threading when you said pull through hoop. I am not seeing what the hoop is. Thank you very much. Excellent.
I am sorry for not responding to your comment. After threading you want to pull on the hoop behind the needle instead of the individual thread at the front, so it does not unthread. Then you will take the end of the thread and put it through the hole (hoop) on the presser foot. Similar to pulling the thread through the foot of a regular sewing machine but there is no slit so you have to thread it through the hole.
GREAT VIDEO! You do a GREAT job of telling us about each item. One question: I saw you press the button on the right when you were done threading the upper but didn't see you press it before you started. I noticed you do in the beginning and end press the button on the BOBBIN part but didn't see you do it in the beginning for the upper threading? Do you need to do it both times for the upper as you did for the bobbin? Please let me know. Thanks
Thank you for your feedback. I did not realize I had cut that part out in the editing. Yes I click the button with the image of the presser foot and refresh button before I put the presser foot down and thread the needle and then again after I am finished. If you are replacing both the upper and lower thread at the same time just click it before you start, thread both upper and lower and then click again when you are finished.
First check that your needle is in properly. Be sure that the presser foot is in the up position when putting in your needle so that it fits all the way to the top of the pocket. Second follow the step where I go slowly down and look to see if it is lining up to the hole of the needle. What type of needle and needle size are you using?
Yes I can! I am waiting on my machine to be restored due to a house fire but I can start on the computer end to show how to download and get it on the a thumb drive and when my machine is back I can load one about opening it on the machine.
Ariel Montgomery no you don’t. I have made items that need matching thread for the front and back. Just be sure to do a test stitch because the upper thread is a different weight than the bobbin thread and you may need to adjust the tension.
Check the position of your needle. It may not be in correctly or may not be fully in the upright position. First click the needle button located at the center arm of the machine to check that it is fully in the upright position. Test to see if this fixes the problem. If it does not fix the problem check what needle you have in your machine. Was the needle placed in highest position in the machine? Is it the correct needle for the machine? Let me know if any of this helped or if you need more help.
