I believe we all have powerful voices that deserve to be heard. When we sing our heartsongs and speak our truth, we can create our harmony.
This song channeled through me during the closing ceremony of my most recent journey with Ayahuasca, the Grandmother medicine.
We were each sharing our experiences the morning after and I was still feeling the psychedelic effects of the medicine.
My friend Nailia was sitting next to me, and shared her experience: "I started to get anxiety and was thinking about the future, when Grandmother came to me and said: Stay where you are child, you're a child of the light."
I wrote those words down in my journal and the rest of the song channeled through.
As I sang my son to sleep after I wrote the song, the last lines came through:
"Sleep child, sleep child, dream your sweet dreams. Dream your dream alive, and set yourself free."
