im gonna tell u guys something, so many ppl on RU-vid claims that there products are the only thing that works, but they don't prove it, i wanna see a Mythbusters version on bed bugs, we really need it, i think us infected ppl need to band together, have lots of ppl. make videos showing what works and what dont, im thinking get some fish tanks, try different products in each one, and video log the progress
@Bed Bug TV Hello, i hope you receive this comment on this 3 year old video, as i have a couple of questions. As i do not own a vacuum or steamer and cannot afford to rent those at this time since I'm in a low income family and spent close to 300 getting the Ortho max home defense bed bug killer 1g spray, 2 cmexa powders, interceptors. felt padding for bed frame so as to not rip encasement, bed risers for the interceptors (beds have stubby feet so these allow them to fit into interceptor) on amazon (these wont be delivered for 2 more days), and yesterday i bought bed bug protection encasement's for mattresses and pillows, trash bags to launder clothes and blankets at Walmart. Would the two treatments affect each other in a counter productive way if i treat the outside of the bed frame with the chemical spray and treat the inside with the powder? Would it disrupt the interceptors job if i pump a small amount of the cmexa powder into it to also damage any bed bugs when they get caught in it? Also unfortunately i already encased my mattress and pillows after purchasing the encasement while waiting for the other stuff from amazon to come in as this is where the bed bug activity was caught 4 days ago and have yet to see any in other areas as of yet. I pretty much did it out fear of the bugs spreading to other areas of our 2 bedroom apartment due to amount of stuff and clutter my mother has through out the apartment, she has a lot of stuff and a lot of it is in my room also because i don't own a lot and there was room for it, i read they can flee to boxes and electronics to nest in if the infested area gets treated and they can no longer inhabit it which can increase the chances of larger infestations happening as electronics can be hard to treat without destroying or getting rid of them (i have a PC and would like to not see it end up in the dumpster spent 2 years saving up for it). I'm trying to get her to agree to help me find away to get rid of a most of it or at least half of what isn't really needed or sentimental, and put what isn't used or needs to be on shelves in plastic bins with bed bug killer strips. So we can effectively put the chemical and powder to its full use. So my question for that is should i just throw the non treated encased pillows and mattress into the dumpster with bed bugs written on it, and replace them with spares that are in storage (encasing them 1st so as to not infest them, the mattress is still plastic wrapped and have enough to get a 5 or 10 dollar pillow), or could i put a bed bug killer strip inside the encasing and re close it hoping it kills the bed bugs that are in it and pray that the encasement doesn't tear or the bed bug lock actually does its job until after a year when they will die from starvation? I await your reply if any.
