Some nights, when I cannot fall asleep easy, I love to pull this up on my laptop, turn my brightness all the way off and let it play. So calming, so relaxing, and it puts me to sleep before I even know it.

I know I commented earlier, but I just wanted to say that recently I picked up on meditation. Normally with other 'calming' music I can only last about 5 minutes with a calm, wandering mind before getting kind of bored with it. With the Skyrim soundtrack though, my goodness. I'm glad the past 2 nights I decided to meditate with this music instead. I get lost in it, my mind goes almost blank in such a wonderful, trance-like meditation. My body is at the most relaxed it has ever been each and every time, with as someone said earlier with such a warmth of the mind, body, and spirit/soul/whichever you please. I can go anywhere from half an hour to an hour lost in that state by focusing on every small aspect of the music that I never picked up before, be it playing the game or the previous times I have listened through this. My goal when I have the free time before bed after my girlfriend falls asleep is to get through this in it's entirety during meditation. If anyone reading this is into meditation, listen to this the next time you do. Please, anyone who doesn't meditate, regardless if you've thought about trying it or not, give it a shot with this in the background or with headphones in for the best experience.

It's a legitimate form of meditation, listening. Being still and quiet is only one form. As soon as it begins (what better opening than Streets of Whiterun?), no matter what state I am in I come to attention, quiet and still.

I think Bethesda is making the Skyrim franchise so much better, But the original elder scrolls...Dude...I grew up with it, nobody can tell me to choose a different game. Not even Bethesda, Skyrim is life and life is Skyrim. ❤️⚔️❤️

I have listened to this and the other Elder Scrolls soundtracks so many times, and yet it is always fresh and beautiful. I laughed when I found the ones directed to 'homework', because I had already discovered that this music was perfect for working/studying. These themes are absolutely my first choice for a desert-island list.

best soundtrack ever, it is bitter sweet for me however... I remember being on the phone countless nights with my ex in high school and heard nothing but the music of Skyrim playing as she played. We loved Skyrim, but It made me stop playing the game when we broke up. I stopped playing video games for a while actually, depression got terrible. A few years later and found PC gaming and modded the hell out of Skyrim, and I love the hell out of it. The music still carries that sorrow with it of losing the girl I first loved. However, I will always feel a strange calm and warm feeling while listening to this whole soundtrack before I sleep. Thank you Jeremy, and thank you Bethesda for bringing this masterpiece we know as Skyrim into our lives ❤

I agree I too always listen to Inn tracks and exploration ones for studying they fit so well. because we listened to them so much in the game while we play, they became these unconscious background music that settle your mood without disturbing you. you almost forget about them but they still give you a great feeling. I love the full ost but it doesn't work for studying or relaxing because some of those tracks are battle/epic, they are great too but would fit for workout I guess. Thanks I used to listen to a 1 hour exploration days tracks now this one is 2 and it serves the same purpose, calm and relaxing. respect Jeremy.

Public Service Announcement: Conditioned Programming associates wonderful memories with anything (smell, taste, touch, the feel of warmth, etc...) combine these with a musical soundtrack that carries the emotion of the environment and you have instant conditioned programming. All the responses below indicate that it worked like a charm on all of you.... welcome to the digital age of manipulation.
