Join me by the crackling campfire on this peaceful solo camping trip. I set up my tent beside the serene Araluen Creek and enjoyed making milk tea and cowboy coffee in my billy pot. Earlier, I tried out a new tarp shelter configuration, using just two poles and a few guy lines to create ample cover and height for both my car and tent. For dinner, I prepared beans and bread, inspired by a classic scene from the movie "They Call Me Trinity". As you may have noticed in the video, I brought along some new gear for this trip: a caddy bag and single mattress from Mogu Outdoors. The camp kitchen caddy bag unlocked many possibilities with its numerous hooks and loops, seamlessly integrating with my existing gear. I hung it on my roof bars, and voila, everything is within arm's reach.
As for the Restwell single mattress, it boasts an impressive R rating of 8.9, which is more than enough for Australia's winter. It also has buckles that can join two single mattresses into a double bed, which I'll definitely use when I camp with Lyra in the future.
