Peacemaker's Freddie Stroma on Vigilante and Passing the ‘A**hole Test’ 

How is it possible that his British accent sounds fake but his American accent sounds more authentic 😂

Usually I can tell when an actor has a fake accent for a role, but I genuinely thought Freddie was American before this interview. He has one of the best and most natural sounding accents I’ve ever heard.

People have fallen in love with Vigilante in a major way. I hope we get as much of him as we can get in the future.

Honestly his best scene was when he took over the rifle from Peacemaker when targeting the kids. Just the character being self-aware enough to know his friend couldn't do it but he could and just gently stepping in to do something horrible so Peacemaker doesn't have to.

Another British actor nailing the American Accent. So good.

I can't imagine anyone else being Vigilante. Stroma made a totally psychotic murderer so likeable. He made me laugh in every episode. I'm sure I'm not alone when I declare that Vigilante is my fave from Peacemaker. Also how ridiculously cheerful he is all the time is nice. Honestly, the cast had excellent chemistry all around, but the chemistry between John Cena and Freddie Stroma was next level. So easy to believe they've been friends for years.

the fact that hes british completely blows me away. he must have worked years on his american accent, not only does it sound normal, but it also sounds 'lived in' unlike a lot of other actors who try the same thing, and while they get it down technically, it doesnt feel 100 percent natural. it does here. great job

When he was changing his facial expression in episode 3, he actually did look like a different person and I thought it that was awesome, I was literally surprised by how perfect that was, he should definitely continue being Vigilante in the future💯

The writing really relies on the character's totally owning it and not even being questioned and Gunn nailed it with Vigilante's psychopathic fan boy persona right down to the wireframe geek glasses and queasy tightrope walk between adolescent obsession and almost gay attraction which is the real subtext of the relationship. I can't fckng believe he's British that is just mental i love it. Best show I've binged since Silicon Valley!

They made the right choice in picking Freddie Stroma as Vigilante. Not to mention his chemistry with John Cena.

He would make an amazingly accurate spider-man and accurate peter parker...if the role gets recasted Freddie Stroma would be perfect! His looks,his nerdy dorky awkward personality, his height, his physique,his ability of joking and making quips as vigilante...it's all insanely accurate as comic spider-man...i would definitely want him and i can definitely see him in the role if that ever happens...hope sony and kein feige see this and maybe like call him to play a different variant spider-man or something

It's hard to say this with such an awesome cast, but Vigilante is hands down my favorite character.

I relate to vigilante in such an insane way because he doesnt feel emotions like most people but he still is attached to some things and just the way he is and it makes me so happy to have a character like me

And the fact that he wasn’t the original actor that they have for Vigilante, they needed to reshoot all Vigilante scene from Episode 1-5. I’m glad they replaced the old actor! He nailed this role.

If Marvel wants to make a star and have a "leader" replace RDJ for the next 10-15 years.. this man is IT.. second episode, realization hit me as he has the look and can act the part with no problem.. after seeing him all season, it's disappointing thinking he doesn't have the role

Freddy Stroma is another Brit to play an American superhero, along with others, such as Andrew Garfield... Andrew and him both are rather charming and humble-like when they speak... those two should make a movie together... comedy, of course.

Stroma brings the same amazing brand of silent-acting as Ryan Reynolds and Riley Shanahan (the body of Robotman on 'Doom Patrol'). Proves that you don't necessarily NEED the CGI eyes of Deadpool to be expressive, his Vigilante was a delight to watch.
