"If you MUST keep petting me, at least keep hitting the sweet spot, hooman." Seriously, what a sweet companion. May your time together be long and joyful.
We had a family of gingers that used to do the same. They would usually either wait for us to bring their small rugs outside in the sunlight outside for them to lay down or just jump on a pile of leaves when the big tree in the back yard started to drop them. Miss those angels so much.
The meows at 0:14? Those are the "leave me the f**k alone or else" meows. Although, in less than 30 seconds, Peaches had a change of mind. The meows at 0:43 were "don't even think about stopping those pets" meows. Peaches is an adorable kitty!!!!
Haha thanks. Yeah you absolutely understand. She does the same thing of meowing for lap, then pretending she doesn't want it, and then hops on and never wants to leave.
What a character. 74-year-old cat freak (male) here ... this is a beautiful, friendly and well-adjusted cat. Lucky she didn't mug you for scratching her tummy.
the rug looks to be light brown/yellow to me. cats see the color blue and yellow the best, red and green is grey for them. combine the yellowness with the scratchy surface and you got a prime cat rug. my cat loves our yellow bathroom mats we call them designated landing spaces even.
