Nothing is left on this end of Peachtree. Sad to see it all gone. It’s now considered part of the Beltline. All the empty stores you see will soon be apartments. Midtown, the only thing left on that end is Bulldogs, and the Vortex. Everything is gone there also. You don’t really start seeing any places until you get into Buckhead on Peachtree.
Yes ma’am everything is changing and our main companies have moved to another Country. Peachtree Street is the Main Street in Atlanta. Back in the day it was full of life, lots of people to see and lots of things to do. Also use to have a lot of restaurants down there but everything has left. If you’d like to eat at Applebees, Golden Corral, chilis, stuff like that, you have to travel out of the city now. An thank you for watching. It’s good for all of us to share Information amongst one another. One more thing and I hope I’m not taking up your time. We have this new thing here called the Beltline. Ever since it’s gotten started the city has been pushing the poor to the outskirts and moving the rich in. They’ve made the places to expensive for the low income families. So there’s a completely new homeless here in the city. They were once home owners or renters but was pushed out of their residence
It's not in decline. The COA is trying to find the right developers to redevelop south downtown. The developers who were supposed to reno Underground and south downtown were in over their heads and didn't have the right vision.
Some cool places there... Thanks for the tour, Jessica. Oh that Walgreens is cool with the coke sign. The peach drops! Neat! What do you mean where underground used to be?
When I was a little girl we had a place called Underground. You enter, go down the escalator. Downstairs was tons of stores, it was like a mall underground. They had an arcade. About 30 different eating places. An this is also where the original Coca Cola building use to be until they moved it next to the aquarium. Everything is moving due to the Beltline coming through the city
Underground is being renovated right now and the library was built in the 70's. They just added windows to the lower floors because the COA allowed the original architector to build it with no windows which was dumb.
@Jdubb Vlogs this is sad! My city has become the murder capital of the nation. I see more and more homeless, drug addiction, people has given up on humanity
How come there’s normally a large queue at the child support office? Isn’t it just all done automatically these days? If you earn over a certain amount here you ain’t even eligible for it. You can tell it’s a big city, seems to have one of everything and the buildings are very high 😊
So interesting to see where you are. Your traffic lights are way over the road ours stand up like lamp posts. And your roads are huuuuge and your on the other side of the road that alwats looks odd to me. Your zebra crossings are massive too. England is like littleville in comparison 😂😂
