May isn’t crazy. The scene when Grace says her name, gives confirmation to May that Tommy really loves Grace, and she automatically accepts that. There’s also no evidence in past scenes that May’s character gets overly emotional when dealing with Tommy. Tommy loves Grace because that’s the woman who got him out of his PTSD. They keep bringing up the war because that holds a very important place in this story.

Am I the only one who does not entirely hate Grace, I mean yes she betrayed him but dude was holding hostage guns that would have started WW2. Polly even warned him. I personally think she did the right thing. The problem is that Campbell became obsessed with her and makes Tommy's life a living hell because they fell for each other.

First time Rob cooked a character & I agreed with him all the way. I genuinely couldn't stand Grace & all the shit she did in this show. Her interaction with May essentially trying to make her look "small or insignificant" was wild. She was married and doing all that stuff on the side that her husband never knew about & she's got the audacity to be mad at May, a single woman for being with a single man. Like, gtfoh man. All this on top of her getting Tommy in hot water with the IRA in season 1, ratting out Freddie to the cops & causing the trouble between Tommy & Ada + Polly, sold out Tommy about where he was hiding the guns....Bro, she was wilding.

That was her job and Tommy is a criminal. Tommy seduced her without knowing who she was, and it gave him a huge advantage over Campbell. So in the end Tommy won. Grace is just a pawn
