Peanut Butter Pinwheels are a very simple homemade candy treat. Sometimes called Potato Candy, the name comes from substituting mashed potatoes instead of milk in the recipe. This is a sweet treat like no other… it’s delicious, smooth and “no one can eat just one”. This is the ideal gift candy during the holidays, it puts a smile on every face!

I make this with cream cheese. Put half stick butter and half block of cream cheese. Helps with the sweetness.

This is exactly how my mom always made peanut butter pinwheels, and that’s what we've always called them too. No need to add any veggies!

The gentleman that did absolutely nothing but talked constantly made me nervous. There's no way that I would have been able to make those pinwheels with him distracting me with the non-stop talk. 😮😮😮😮

I’ve made it with a real potato. And I’ve made it with half n half. I’ll definitely try it with the butter n vanilla.

I just saw another creator use 1/2 cream cheese & 1/2 butter , the rest was the same. This might balance the sweetness & add a better texture?

I just discovered them, so I'm #398..used to love this as a kid; when I was in 3rd grade, I had this one friend whose mom made them & brought them to our class for birthday treats. I was SO excited to find it in Kroger yrs later (almost bought some last nite, but the $5.99 price tag had me googling Peanut Butter Pinwheels which led me here!)..never knew about the potato connection 😒

Of course it has mashed potatoes in it!! 😋 First tried it 40+ yrs ago by an 'old' aunt using a 100 yr old recipe🎆 Thx for sharing yours

Do you have a recipe that actually has mashed potatoes in it because that's how I'm used to making it but it always comes out so thick. I never know the measurements of anything in particular. I just add mashed potatoes and powdered sugar n vanilla and everything else. I've never seen it done without potatoes before.

@@STICKBOTMASTER548 Donna are you stupid? Genuine question. My wholesome comment was obviously referring to the hosts attitude and the friendship they share on this channel. I'm not sure if you're aware but two things can be true at once. A food can contain sugar and the people making the recipe can still be wholesome, you should think twice before commenting ridiculous nonsense online, you made yourself look foolish.

Also, two things can be true at once, this can be wholesome and contain sugar. Not sure what it is you're laughing at but right now I'm laughing at your blatant misunderstanding and misrepresentation of what I said. You seem like you just like to make ridiculous and foolish comments online, get a hobby Donna. It's a sugary dessert, it's going to contain sugar.
