Peanut Island Sandbar - Palm Beach, Florida [4K]

This shallow sandbar, at the north end of Peanut Island, is a popular weekend hangout and party spot. People gather there because it’s not technically considered part of Peanut Island, and so alcohol flows freely. Especially on weekends, the area can get rowdy with hundreds of boats, loud music and rowdy people.

It is most popular on the weekends and holidays. You MUST go around low tide. Otherwise, nobody will be there. If that's the case go to Peanut Island itself and snorkel where the man-made rock formations are. And, the beach is nice there as well. You can catch a ferry over to the island from the Riviera Beach marina.

Make sure to go during high tide if you want to snorkel near the island. Shuttle over to the island is at the Riviera Beach Marina. I think its $20 round trip. The island is nice. Thanks for watching

I am continuing to avoid the crowds. I'm not shocked that Florida is getting surges again. It's tourist season so the New Yorkers, New Jerseys, Canadians, and assorted other states are here doubling our population the next few months. Plus, Christmas and New Years families are getting together. So, it's a recipe for disaster. Happy New Year !

Thats such a beautiful place. I'd love to visit someday. The Pacific Ocean is a lot cooler so it wouldn't be as fun to hang out on the water. Nice flight, perfect area for it. So reading your intro here, alcohol isn't allowed in other places?🙏👍stay safe

On Peanut Island itself it would be considered "open container". Generally, any County owned parks or beaches prohibit alcohol. So, the sandbar is a great place to hang out with friends, have a beer, enjoy the water, sun, and boating. FYI. I tested the water last weekend and it felt cold here too. I won't go swimming in it unless it feels like bath water. A Canadian would probably have a different perspective.

Thank you very much! Using PowerDirector 19. Would like to use a more powerful editor but Davinci Resolve chokes my computer with an i7, 16gb RAM and an SSD. And, since I don't usually do more than one video a month I didn't want to do the subscription of Adobe Premiere. I had also tried HitFilm in the past but prefer PowerDirector over it.

@@DavidLorenzoFlorida thats sort of funny, because I also use that,, you seem to work it better, I find you editing quite interesting actually, I agree about the cost of Adobe, not for me with as little as I do, I have a pretty nice Dell I did get because it handles Power Director fairly well, thank you!!

What an awesome spot to let loose (35 years ago)😅 Great footage and views there David. Question.. what format do you shoot in? Mp4, MOV..? Looks great.
