Hey guys! Don’t forget to add 1/3 cup of oil to the list of ingredients.(It was forgotten by the poster. )😊 I made the cake and have changed a bit in it . I have added 1 tsp of cinnamon to the cut pears and have cut the pears into chunks and stirred them a bit into the melted butter and brown sugar., It came out amazing that my neighbour asked me what did I bake.🤣 Thanks a lot for posting this delicious recipient. Looking forward for new recipes from you! 🙏🙏♥️
This cake is delicious and easy and you do not need a lot of ingredients. I have made this cake three times already and plan to make it again for Thankgiving. You can easily use apples or peaches with this recipe. Everybody loved this cake. Thanks
What’s the size of your pan. Is it 9 or 10 inches? Also, can I use butter instead of oil for the cake? What do you think is best? I’m making this tomorrow for a party.
When you say baking flour, is that plain or self raising flour. Because you add baking powder, I´m guessing plain flour! We have different terminology in UK & US.
In the UK they're not the same. We would use Self Raising flour for cakes. All Purpose flour is what we call 'Plain'. It doesn't have Baking Powder added. 🙂
Im going to the store now ive cooked some pears in a cinnamon n rhum sirup for like an hour n let them rest in the cold all night with some biscuit for a tiramisu I need some eggs n mascarpone see ya
Made double the amount. Apart from the caramel topping cake was too flavourless for me. If I was to make it again I would replace the oil with margarine or butter.
big deal. it's just a pear upside down cake. you can use a box of cake mix instead and plain brown sugar underneath the pears. ho hum....what's so wonderful about that????
What is good about it is the fact that the person took the time to make the video, post it and has probably helped some first time cooks. This is an ideal cake for children to help make with a parent, which is an enjoyable introduction to making your own food. I have been cooking for over fifty years and really have a lot of "know how" and experience, but the best times are when I have shown a newcomer to cooking how easy and enjoyable it is to do. That's wonderful!
Dude it literally says "Easy" in the title. There are over 7 billion people in the world and it's not hard to believe some of them might not have made an upside down cake before. Go make your own video if this one's so boring.
