i watched this movie last year in history and its literally one of the best movies ever i cried so much

I remember watching this film for the first time back in 2002, and still is one hell of a film, beautiful soundtrack. Worth the watch every time.

Can I dedicate this to my Uncle John White . As a very young man he was in the US Airforce at Pearl Harbour. He made a career out of The Airforce and became a wing Commander with honours. His son and Grandson are in the Airforce too. Rest in peace Wing Commander John Robert White . And also for my very good friend also called John Thompson . He was a Squadron commander in the RAF he fought in the Battle if Britain. Fly high Airmen to heaven.

Love how the music pulls out various emotions in all of us; some people it's all up-in-arms-fight song, for others it's a time to drop guards and cry like a little kid, for others it's a high-resistance to not give in to any emotion at all, a fight-it-back kind of feeling. Whatever one's reaction, it's a sure thing: Hans has a way of getting "in there" with sound. :)

I loooved this movie when I was a teen, must've have been the score and wardrobe

only a few music pieces lets me feel such profound emotion and literally bring tears to my eyes, this is definitely one of them!

I was one of the crew from the USS John C. Stennis CVN-74 that was aboard for the World Premier of this movie to be shown on our flight deck. I have it on 8mm somewhere I knew something bad was coming even then. Sure enough, 9/11/01. Here we showed this in Pearl Harbor May of 2001. I later discovered after our trip to Pearl, I had a relative who had been killed on the USS Nevada BB-36 by a fluke chance at looking through EVERY name trying to help someone discover a family member that we couldn't find so it was.. interesting to say the least. My family member was a Gunners Mate 3rd Class. I was at the time an ABE3. I volunteered at the Maritime Museum of San Diego in those days too. I played this while working in the Hobby Shop. Looking back, I feel like I was not only part of something similar, but now what it's like to look back on the days that defined you. Now it seems I await the inevitable. But I'm still kicking for now. Lost in that 'Moment in Time' The title I gave the whole experience. I look back and think, I lived through all that?! I knew many who were not able to see the age I see now.

Autentica historia q nos recuerda q la guerra no solo tiene una cara amarga, cruel y violenta, si no tambien otra mas personal, humana y cercana que nos sumerge de lleno de una historia romantica con toques dramaticos y comicos que logran que el espectador se sienta identificado con alguno de los personajes. En definitiva, una historia que muchos de nosotros qusieramos haber vivido (hablando desde lo romantico), siendo un filme que para mucha gente se convetira en un clasico (yo me incluyo) con una banda sonora perfecta. Disfrutenla :-)
