As someone who doesn't have Pearl, came back to the game in Charlie's season and dosen't remember watching Pearls brawl talk, I can confirm I didn't know Pearl has a heating up mechanic that increases her damage. But I have to say she is one of those brawlers that I almost always find in opposing teams.
I agree. I usually push all of my brawlers to 500 trophies, but because of how boring Pearl is, I've had her at about 300 trophies ever since her brawl pass.

Sure, she "melts" anyone below 6K (if she's at max heat, had activated the gadget, AND is at point-blank range), but sure, yeah, she MUST, right? Besides, EVEN IF I WAS living under a rock and she's somehow secretly OP, this is about how BORING she is. No matter how good she could be, she'll always be boring to me. There's a reason I didn't get her to 500 even when she was ACTUALLY OP (her release), It's because she was SO boring. I hope that one day, you'll learn that good simply does not equal fun.
I'd say Pearl is very underrated in terms of fun factor. Yes her attack is pretty generic, super is also not too interesting and the design not as flashy but the dopamine rush you get when you activate the Overcooked gadget at full heat and blast some 4-5k HP brawler and watch them melt or getting a double or triple kill with her super is unmatched. She's easily in the top 5 best brawlers right now and I got her to 750 trophies in no time.

I honestly like playing pearl, i guess she doesn't live up to the originality of the other new brawlers, but i don't think that's bad, a simple brawler is aways good to have, and no, you don't need to get 80% heat to do something with her, her dmg is pretty good already, and the heat just adds up to it, unless you want the shield, but it's not that bad, i agree that her hypercharge is bad, and so does her second gadget, but pearl is a fun and simple brawler imo
Pearl is one of those cases of only being good in one or two modes(those being heist and knockout like piper in solo or knockout.) Like piper both take no skill to play in those modes(Piper mains don’t get mad alright. Its true)
