I got the multi cd of the gorge, kept in pristine condition… perhaps it’s worth a bit as I’ve never seen it advertised.. but the gorge I believe was a 3 day affair at the end of their 2006 avocado world tour. I think they may have hosted it for free as well? I know it was like a coming home present to fellow Seattle-lites and my god what a present this was. To have performed at this level after a gruelling tour in you early forties, simply phenomenall. Every bandmember was on 🔥 and this is exactly how I pictured it in my head. I would’ve given one of my kidneys to have been there. What an experience this would’ve been. Pearl Jam forever ✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️✌️✌️✌️
I was there, 16 years ago today, with my 12 person or so crew from the Philly area with a 116 degree heat index. Nothing has topped the experience, including the 10 times I've seen them since. These were their retirement/farewell shows for me. What a time. Wish I could go back and relive it all.
This was the best Pearl Jam, down to the guts, good ol fashion Pearl Jam at its best type concert I’ve ever seen / heard. I know, weird description, but it totally was. The best I’ve seen…and it WAS HOT as a muthatrucka!
I believe their peak lasted all the way up until Covid. Their live shows have declined a little since then. They’re playing 25 songs per night now. I saw them play 43 songs on Halloween in Philly, and 42 songs at Penn State University, and those are just 2 examples.
