I love how Eddie puts his hands up like hes holding up the sun during the lyrics that he lets the crowd sing "I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be the sun in someone elses sky". Such a great song. There is not enough to say about Pearl Jam. Such great band.
PJ and Eddie take long "breaks" from this song every now and then-----I remember '06 being a time when they took an extended break from performing BLACK, but when you tour in the Southern Hemisphere and 100+ thousand fans show up who've paid a month's salary to see PJ play you're almost obligated as human beings to perform the song.
@@aridavid776 there is a video where Eddie says that it is kinda hard to sing this song and that it’s a request from the back. I can’t think of which video it is. Maybe someone out there knows?
I think that Eddie can understand his pain but also can’t because I saw past music videos for this song and he looks like he is really sad but also crying
I was at this show ❤ I’m from Australia and was in Chicago. As soon as this tour was announced I got tickets and flew up to Milwaukee for the night. This song was the highlight
Well.. after hearing that my depressions depression just ripped out the cords of the hearts life support and set it on fire ... geez, that was sooo full of pain, I had tears just pop up and out .. (and mine really do hurt my eyes )while a good version.. I think that's a one time only listen .. that is the type of pain you could see a complete stranger experiencing all alone and if you have empathy you would just go and hug them .. ..
Man, I don't think Eddie is "performing" this song for the crowd. He is soothing his own soul, reaching out to the universe, sending all his emotions out through it. We're just lucky to be able to observe it.
Amazing video my friend. My wife and I drove from Boston to catch St. Paul and Milwaukee. Thanks for sharing an incredible night. Also assuming you have a really low number for 10c. Best seats in the building !! Thank you
Not sure why gals spread em for musician or anyone on tv who's mildly famous. Now Eddie's in a different class. but Gene Simmons of KISS is fat and ugly and he got tons of poon tang.
It's so sad because you know it's about ex wife Beth Liebling whom he dated as a teen in 1983 and divorced in 2000 after all those years togetherthe song he wrote oceans about...r, amid rumors she cheated on him... he didn't get closure.
This song is 100% NOT about Beth Liebling!!!! He was married to her for years after he wrote the lyrics----THIS SONG IS ABOUT UNREQUITED LOVE, someone Eddie was madly in love with who did not feel the same way about him, so most likely a high school sweetheart.
