I was lucky enough to take my 18 year son to his first ever concert last night and he was blown away by PJ! I lost my dad to cancer 3 years ago and this song really hits me whenever I hear it and last night was no different. Amazing set-list and the crowd was awesome!
BEAUTIFUL!! Drove me to tears, incredible performance by everyone!! Awesome audience, Eddie sounds amazing!! Thank you for sharing this awesome video, I love "Release" that was beautiful! 😊💓🤘✌️ Awesome job filming!
My first live show was 9/11/98. They opened with this song. Got to take my daughter to this show, which was her first. Needless to say, it was a very special evening.
Had a hunch they’d open with this, as it matches the emotions of the anniversary and of waiting 2+ years to be back together. It was the tone setting foundation of a night that is difficult to describe other than the best I’ve ever seen or experienced.
I saw mother love bone in 89 while on holiday in the US in Seattle,Eddie joined and i saw PearlJam at the Riverside in Newcastle ,England my local venue.,and both shows were amazing .I hate all the modern smart phone crowd.....Just saying.
Do y'all realize he's the only big awesome voice that exists from Seattle?!?....the rest are all dead!!! from Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in chains and several others he's The Last one alive from that scene who meant anything. Apparently he was the only one that didn't have the addict "Gene" in his brain
Thats my biggest fear.... finally getting to see Pearl Jam live and having some wannabe, drunk ass rock stars surrounding me singing their version to every song.
Totally makes sense. I love how last week playing @ the Garden in NYC on 9/11 they opened up with this song all sitting down. On such a somber day for New Yorkers, it felt appropriate for the band to ease the crowd into their long awaited performances. The words to this song were so appropriate, just what the audience needed to hear to fully enjoy the show.
