My experience with Pearl has been generally good. My first DE when I switched back to wet shaving was SS 01. I also liked SBF 11. The only issue I have is the threads start rusting within a year or so. My SS 01 which I had purchased in 2019 is almost finished and unusable but considering the price it's nothing to complain. Secondly I find the prices of Blaze and Flexi too high for the Indian market. Probably these were designed and marketed with western markets in mind where 50 USD or 80 USD is peanuts. But if you open the Indian market to Chinese razors, these products don't stand a chance in terms of pricing. Would I buy a Pearl again? Maybe.

I own L55 antique as well L55 open+close comb. I can proudly say that it is one of the best shaving de razor I used (Indian). Now when you will compare the new and old one, will be interesting.

Sad to see so many have had a poor experience with these. I don't think you're promoting something you don't believe in; technique is as important to shaving as tools in my opinion, so maybe you are able to get great results out of not the best tools thanks to good technique which many of us lack. I own a Pearl SS-01 closed comb razor and really like it, but wanted a handle that was thicker. L55 was on my list. Out of curiosity, do you have any other recommendations for thick-handled razors under 1000?

Is there open comb in new L55 s or only comes with close comb?

Is tarah logon ko juth bolkar murkh banayenge mujhe ummid na thi. Mahabharat mein yudhishthira ne kaha tha hamesha aadha satya bhi juth hi hota hai. It's so sad to see many people dissatisfied with a particular brand. A specific bad product or model with some defects does not makes that company bad. The experience should be shared & it's consumers right to get aftersale services & point out the issues so the manufacturer could take necessary steps. Diwas sir or joy bhai for that matter are sharing their honest opinion and in this hobby YMMV. All depends on your style and techniques of shaving, blades used or preshave or shaving softwares used. Lots of factors come to play. These guys are great medium for us consumers to give proper feedback to manufacturers. If manufacturer is genuine then he will surely work out something. If he neglects it's his loss in long run. Just ranting or bad mouthing cannot help anyone. I will put my personal honest opinion below. Blade alignment or chatter is mostly common with zamac but still minimal the better. Pearl L55/ SSH 05 chotu close comb razors were good no issues as such and it was best balanced aggressive Indian razor for me till I tried Romer 7 Regalia head (even with its poor fit, finish and built) which is more efficient and smooth than L55. L55 Open comb was rough and dissaster. Romer 7 Ricardo and BG Open comb is much better to L55 open comb. I also had Pearl TTO SS-95 which again was very aggressive and rough for me. Parker TTO are the king but I had heard a lot about Romer viceroy TTO too especially the premium model. I had heard very positive about Hajamat razors expecially the trowel which I guess are made by some Chinese OEM. Personally I will not invest in costly Indian make razors except Parker's because for the price of Pearl flexi I will be looking at International Razors like Merkur progress which retails on Amazon India from 5600 to 6000. Parker variant is also good choice around 3750. I feel each one of us should share our experiences and be critical in constructive way. Lots for efforts get into the process so be polite, patient and try to work upon solution by talking to manufacturer directly. If he does not listen then that ranting is justified else no point.🙏 Btw good efforts Diwas sir. Please try to compare the Romer 7 Regalia head and the other BG Open Comb and Ricardo razors as well whenever possible. Thank you 🙏

I had very very very bad experience with L55 (CC+OC). The threaded portion of CC head broke away within ONE year of purchase.. I will never buy a Pearl product in future. Waiting for your comments.
