Brings back old memories. The Taylor / Pearl loop was always challenging and tiring but, oh so enjoyable. Too early in the year made the snow really deep in places. Haven't been there in 30+ years.
Looks like mid June there to me. Tried it once in October and had the same problem. CB to Pearl Pass no problem but no Aspen due to early snow. Awesome riding but short season up there.
Best way to travel Pearl. For the 4 wheelers, don't try it in anything larger than a jeep, land cruiser type, short wheel base vehicle. Like most anything "trying" it's nice to say you've done it, but it"s not an easy ride. (drive) And yet we'll do it again. Thx. for the video
No, it was mid July if I remember correctly.... there was a ton of snow that year. I've been up there a few times in the past few years in mid August with virtually zero snow.
July 26th. Lot of snow that year apparently. Couldn't get through. I've ridden this many times the 1st or 2nd week of August and only saw a couple snow drifts on north slopes. Check out my other Colorado Playlists. There are many other videos of this trail.
