Great playing!! But shouldn't the Peavey be boosted too? Doesn't seem a fair comparison. The 900 sounds totally brutal with the tube screamer but the Peavey seems lacking.
You can boost a 6505+, but it messes with the mids and lows. When I A/B tested with and without it wasn't as pleasing. The peavey doesn't sound lacking, but the JCM 900 naturally has more high mids and mids. Which is probably what you are hearing. Cheers -Ryan

I would say that the JCM 900 performs better in a recording setting on its' own than the JCM 800 does. BUT The JCM 800 paired with a High Gain Amp... hard to beat! Cheers -Ryan
