Now this finish is a thing of beauty. This for me is the better joint finish. Top stuff I did one like this very similar in process but a long time ago
What sort of sanding discs do you use to clean the brick and how many does it take to do the front of the house? Its an amazing job. Thanks for uploading.
I've got a question, what do you guys do when all the brick dust from grinding and dust from racking out the old pointing goes on the neighbours windows and sills etc? That's one of my biggest worries as I would hate to upset my neighbours.
Diamomd Cup blade seems traceless with disc marks. Never the same when im using it doing banker work 😂 do you use a buffing pad afterwards or straight diamond tip mate?
@@londonrepointingrestoratio4275 I spent a day working with a bloke who was doing that pointing and that’s we he called it and it stuck ever since , probs because it’s a variation of the original
I've watched a lot of his videos and he never goes into detail of the tuckpointing process. I presume it's to protect trade secrets? I think this whole channel is about showing off their skills and advertising for more work, but it's definitely not an "educational" channel to help DIYers (or even professionals) learn trade skills.
Nigel..bet your jealous because you don't have the skills these guys have. They do a excellent job ..Just because they are not sitting behind a desk all day does not mean they didn't do well at school.
@@nigelhaines7900 Then maybe just say .. Horrible job .I know as I'm in the trade ....saying bet they wished they concentrated better at school makes it sound like it's not a good job.Every job someone does is good.
Beautiful job. I did wonder about the loss of face on the brick when removing the render but you solved that. What type of disc did you use to smooth the brick faces (I've never seen that before)? The pointing is immaculate.
