After we set up all the stuff to make this video, the city rolled in behind the tree line with these huge machine to fix the roads and made a huge amount of noise :(

Exactly what i was looking for. The Victron Dc to Dc converter only outputs a max of 30V, but Pecron solar port requires a min of 32V. The start voltage means it wont rob the starting battery of needed voltage

Wonder if this would be a better charging option for my E1500LFP while on the road. I'm currently considering the addition of a fixed 100w panel to the roof of my Jeep to trickle charge the power station, but adding this charger would ensure a charge without having to rely on good weather for optimal solar. Interesting device....thanks for bringing it to my attention.

We have 1000 watts on top of our rv and the main problem with solar on rv's is they have to be flat of course. That knocks down the power input by up to 70% depending on the time of year :( great for summer, kinda ok for spring & fall...TERRIBLE for winter :( This device would work every time you start and drive the car. And at 5 times the power of that 100 watt solar panel, and that is if you even get close to 100 watts from it :( P.S. And you have that solar panel idea for a backup plan ;)

Bob, I purchased one of these step up converters - haven’t tested it yet but I don’t plan to use it mobile. Instead, I want to take external batteries (Redodo for example at 200ah for under $500) which are so much cheaper then the EB3000 to feed my 2000lfp.Definitely not as convenient as an integrated battery but much more affordable. Wish the Eb3000 was around $800 but it’s not to be.

Sweet, let us know how you like it :) we wanted to do the same, but with a 25,000wh EG4 sever rack stack :) YEAH BUDDY !!!!! P.S. That eb3000 & ep3000 are very cheap even at 1,100 bucks, that is only 36 cents per watt hour already... P.P.S. But we are hoping that it goes down more also...LOL and with that gogreen code (5% off) that would bring one down to $1,045 (34 cents per watt hour)

what would be nice is a 300, 400, or 500 watt plug in charger for power stations, from my small pure sine wave gas / propane generator. Something around 48 volts would be nice.

@@RamblinBobReviews I have a Bluetti 1500 solar charger, but the charger that comes with the unit only charges at 170 watts. But the unit will take up to 500 watts on DC, But I want an AC plug in charger, not a DC to DC charger.

What about a standard LifePo4 AC battery charger? Would something like that maybe work in your setup? P.S. What is the bluetti 1500 charger? do you mean the T500 solar charger?

I have a cleaning business and some houses don't have electric turned on so these portable stations are great for that. I do a lot of driving and anyway I can avoid using my gas/propane generator the better off I am. Lol@@RamblinBobReviews

These power stations have changed the way that we do things as well, so quiet and powerful at the same time. along with being able to take it anywhere :) P.S. Have 2000 watts of power just feet away from us when we need it is a real game changer :) no gas, no carbon monoxide, no sound, no pollution, etc, etc...wow

For newer alternators with ECM-controlled regulators there could be a substantial impact. For older models with fixed regulators it's the same belt and rotor all the time. But I think there's a good deal of flexibility in selecting on/off setpoint voltages, so you don't always deliver maximum wattage if it's not required or if the starter battery is questionable. My concern is if an OEM alternator that's used to running lights, radio, power windows (relatively low power items) is tasked with supplying 1000 Whrs over a couple of hours every week or even more often -- how soon will it expire from overwork?

Hi Bob. My million $$$ question is, "Will it not quickly reach the lifespan of my vehicle's BATTERY and ALTERNATOR if I use this gadget say, thrice a week while driving? Has there been a test-study using this gadget with DIESEL engine vehicles? Sorry for my stupid questions but I would love to hear your response on the matter. Thank you.

Not 100% sure as this is a newer product. Any extra power pulled from the alternator always puts extra strain on it, However, we have run 500 to 2,000 watt amps for kicker boxes (speakers) in my cars for many years with no noticeable problems.

Some powerstation have limit, like the Bluetti AC200max solar dc requirement is Voc145 and Isc15A to charge to a max of 900w.. does this Pecron 500w charger can meet those requiremnets?

FYI: These are out of stock as of May 31st. I ordered one on May 21st. Nine days later, I still hadn’t received a shipping notification, so yesterday I sent them an email and inquired about when I could expect it to ship. Here’s the response I got: “Currently 500W car charger is temporarily out of stock, we will arrange shipment for you when the goods arrive. The next shipment is expected to arrive at the warehouse in early June. Sorry that due to system reasons, the notification email we automatically sent to customers seems to have failed to be sent. We also made a note on the product page immediately after we realized that the notification email sent by the system failed 2 days ago, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please be assured that we will arrange for your shipment as soon as possible after the arrival of the goods, the system will also send a reminder e-mail to your mailbox.”

There was no indication on the website that they were out of stock, and I received no notification of a delay until I asked about shipping nine days later. Apparently, their plan was to just hold onto my money with no accountability. I gave them 48 hours bto refund me before calling my credit card issuer and requesting a charge-back. It worked.

This should work on anything as long as the voltage does not go over the power station max voltage (VOC) and the polarity is correct. note: This is a very simple design, many youtubers have made these before, but pecron was able to make a very simple to use all-in-one design with a built in fan for cooling. P.S. Good job Pecron :)

The 10 amp max is not important as the power station with just block any power over that 10 amp max rating to protect the unit :) P.S. We have the AC70 here and we like it very much :)

Daygreen has a huge selection of these dc to dc chargers with atep up voltage. I have their 12 to 58v 20A 1050w and I can charge my E600 and E1500 at full blast.
