I ordered one and installed on my 2021 Ram 2500 after watching the first video. Love it, gives you a lot of options depending on what type of driving you do. Definitely going to add to my other vehicles.

You've picked another good topic Mike. At first I thought this device is just what I need, but no. There's too many setting and the device will necessitate a whole new learning curve in driving/handling whatever vehicle you put it in. Save the Wave👋

Thanks Peter, I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s actually not too bad if you just use it the way I talked about in the end. City mode for most driving, in some people’s cases, all of their driving, and Sport Plus +4 for the occasional roll race. Everything else, you can pretty much ignore.

Mike, thanks for the tutorial. As always, great video and content. For me, it just seems like one more level of electronic intervention (good or bad). I always turn off my traction control before I romp on it because I don’t like the unpredictability of the intervention with my 150 HP mods, and it is not good for the car. My C7Z is not an everyday driver so I would likely get frustrated trying to figure out the sweet spot with my limited time in the car. I can see where there may be some advantage for those who drive their cars a lot and get the opportunity to really enhance their driving experience, but mine is simply limited to rotating the knob from touring to sport to (occasionally) track. And that is fine with me. I think the bigger issue for me (based upon what I saw in the video) is the lack of predictably amongst so many different options. But again, great video and I appreciate the content and education.

You’re welcome, and I’m happy you enjoyed it. I hear ya, and with your mods I wouldn’t ever suggest getting one. This is really made for people who don’t want to void their warranty. You have to wonder how many cars have pedal lag and maybe the reviewer thinks it's turbo lag but it's pedal lag instead. Or perhaps both. Seems like a good mod.

Yeah, I think it has to do with the drive by wire throttle. This has a tiny delay and I can definitely feel it.

Thanks for the review. Looks to me like that gizmo has too many settings. Also, it looks a little dangerous. Loved “…pop a wheelie!”

It does have too many settings IMHO, but again if you mostly use City mode in the neutral position, and occasionally use Sport Plus +4 for roll races, if you do that kind of thing, it works out fine.

@@BrinkofSpeed It makes no sense to me to mess with a throttle of a high performance vehicle. Does GM or Spring Mountain teach you how to not wrap your pedal commander around a tree in driving school? I doubt it. Save your money in my opinion. If you want faster acceleration go buy a faster car and get trained how to drive it.

Hi Mike, I am now a proud new owner of my first Corvette! I bought a 2013 Grand Sport 3 LT with only 12K miles. Guess what my first mod is? You guessed it, a Pedal Commander ! It made a big difference in the acceleration where the throttle response was lacking. Your review was pretty accurate and similar to my discoveries on the adjustment settings. My preferred setting( with everything stock equipped) is the City+4. I won’t even touch the Sport + unless I’m on a controlled road or track. Glad you did this review and thanks.

I’ve had the pedal commander for about 2 yrs now and it’s definitely a learning curve when switching modes. On the Camaro I keep it at sports mode level +3, but taking a turn takes a good while to get used to. I agree eco and city mode is just not good unless you really need to save gas and sports+ all levels are not meant for normal every day driving. This is a very helpful video on if I should get one for the C8.

That’s cool, I definitely like it, and will continue to use it and learn it. I city mode for 99.9% of my driving, but Sport Plus +4 is fun for the crazy whiplash effect 😊 I’m happy you enjoyed the video. 👍👊

I never post reviews, but I literally just got done installing my Pedal Commander and Holy!@#$ this thing is nuts!! I have a C8 Z51 and I can't believe how much quicker the response time is!!!

In my C7.R, if I press the pedal quickly and let off, it automatically puts you in the correct gear for acceleration without pedal delay. Not sure if it's the same in the C8. I don't see Pedal Commander being worth it in my case. Thx for the review! I'm #39 on C8 Z06 list at MSRP.

I use it on my 2019 Silverado it works great you have a more pedal response with the Pedal Commander and you do have the option of turning it off and just using your regular driving without the Pedal Commander assist so it’s a good option for when you want to get sporty on the street I think it’s great #torah57mitch

Mike, outstanding video as always. Question. I have a 2019 ZL1 Auto. It has a tune, bigger throttle body, pulleys and cold air intake. Do you think it will be worth it to get the pedal commander with the work I have done on my ZL1? Tune is doing 720 hp. Just wondering if its worth it to get a commander. Again, thank you for your time.

If your throttle sticks (hello Lexus) you have recourse against a big company. If your pedal commander Malfunctions you are screwed. Please let’s be careful on which products are endorsed world wide based on the big picture as opposed to who sponsors Utube videos. I hate social media.
